Kids enjoyed this but the wait for the zip line and mountain coaster were more than one hour each - and the lines weren’t even super long. They don’t move people through as efficiently as other adventure parks do. We weren’t able to fit in the third ride we were given due to the Challenge Course being closed for the day. The bridge was an experience! Not sure this was worth it given the travel time to get to and from the park and the extensive wait times for the rides. We’ll skip this if we come back to the area again.
We booked the adventure pass online in the morning as this seemed to be good value for money and to try to avoid the crowds. When we arrived exitedly at the confirmed time, we were told to wait in line anyways for about 45 minutes due to the necessary Security check. We were also told that the Zipline was not open that day due to bad air quality (although the website had not mentioned anything about it in the morning). At least we could exchange the ticket to the Coaster ticket (the guy in the booth did not apologize at all however). Once we had walked over the skybridge and had queued for the coaster for about 30 minutes we were then told that due to the bad air quality they had to close the coaster as well and we had to leave. Finally we queued for the last time in line to get a refund of the ticket. Overall, the whole day was a total waist of time and the kids were super disappointed. While we understand that the air quality is not their fault (it was bad from the start by the way), the whole handling of the process was very unprofessionell. The only positive thing of the day was the nice lady at the counter at the end who was very apologetic and refunded us our tickets.
Hello georgs686, Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re very sorry that the air quality impacted your visit and, especially, that you experienced multiple queues and closures throughout the day. We understand how disappointing this must have been for your family, and we appreciate your feedback regarding how these unexpected closures were communicated and handled. We’re glad our team member at the counter was able to assist with your refund and provide a more positive final interaction. Sincerely, Katharina Meyer, Operations Coordinator, Golden Skybridge.
Booking from viator didn’t get us tickets and tickets didn’t show up in their system. Persuit team handled it very well, spent 30 min to check their system. Team at the site was very good and cooperative.
Great park with many opportunities for children to play, a zip line, sky swing, and the two suspension bridges over the creek. In some cases, slots must be booked in advance. The evening ticket with a discount from 6 PM is inexpensive, and you have to share the park with fewer visitors.
We had a Skybridge ticket as part of a Pursuit Adventure Pass; when you arrive you still have to queue up to swap the voucher for a wrist band which took quite a long time. Unfortunately if you want to do anything else the other activities are often very costly and in one case wasn’t available (the coaster), my son queued for 30 mins and then Got told it was down for maintenance. The Axe throwing and climbing cannot be added on unless you upgrade at an incredible cost. Even more disappointing was the fact that the activities to access such as the jumping net and the coaster are across the skybridge and my 2nd son who has special needs was not able to walk across the skybridge due to his fear of falling; he really wanted to and tried and the staff offered to accompany him but there were so many children and adults jumping on it and swinging the bridge that he was too scared. There were limited things for him to do without going across the bridge so this it needs to be thought about if anyone has a fear of heights or access needs.
Hello Campingfans, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear that parts of your visit were frustrating, particularly the wait times, the Coaster closure, and the challenges your son experienced with crossing the Skybridge. We appreciate your kind note about our staff offering to accompany him, and we’ll take your feedback about accessibility and alternative activities seriously as we continue to improve the guest experience. Sincerely, Katharina Meyer, Operations Coordinator, Golden Skybridge.
As a local, I brought my family to the skybridge. I have had good experience s here. However, our visit today was unsatisfactory. My family spent hundreds of dollars. On the website it says you can join a virtual queue for the attractions. This is not true. I was told again that this was possible at the ticket window. Again, this was not available. Also the single lines at the attractions were not open. Next, there was no food. The grill was closed for some reason. There was chips and ice cream and signs saying you could bring in your lunch but only when we got there which is too late. Also, most of the vending machines were out of service and the ones that were in service were out of water. There is one water fill station in the plaza but that’s the only place to fill your water. The staff seemed to have conflicting information and were not informed or prepared to let guests know about the drink and food situation. It was a hot day. However, the staff were nice. I feel like for a company as big as Pursuit you can do better than what my family and I experienced today.
Hello 163tobyb, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that your family’s visit did not meet the standard you’ve come to expect from us, especially as a local who has previously had positive experiences at the Golden Skybridge. We understand how frustrating it must have been to receive conflicting information about the virtual queue and attraction line options, as well as to find limited food and beverage options and vending machines that were out of service on a hot day. While we’re glad to hear that our staff were friendly, we agree that guests should receive clear and consistent information throughout their visit. We’re sharing your feedback with our team as we review our communication around attraction queues and the availability of food, beverages, and other amenities. Thank you again for bringing these concerns to our attention. We appreciate your feedback and hope to provide your family with a much better experience in the future. Katharina Meyer, Operations Coordinator, Golden Skybridge.
Get there early to avoid the lineups. Bring a water bottle with you. It’s dusty and the terrain has loose gravel so definitely do not recommend strollers. There is a lot to do here! It’s a beautiful place. The weather was absolutely perfect! I would definitely go again and I highly recommend to anyone.
We paid for the Skybridge experience only. Other parts of the park (roller coaster, zip lines etc) would have cost extra. We still were able to spend a good part of our morning exploring. We were satisfied with our experience.
TERRIBLE! DO NOT UNDER ANY CHANCE GO HERE! Our oldest left at the beginning, I wished I would have gone with him, it was expensive and we waited im not kidding 2 hours for ONE 30 second zip line! It was hot and not enough shade for the long wait. SAVE YOURSELF AND NEVER EVER BOOK THIS! IF I COULD GIVE -10000000 STARS I WOULD! SAVE YOURSELVES!!!!
We had a really enjoyable day at the Golden Skybridge and would definitely recommend it, but there are a couple of areas that could be improved. We got the adventure pass which granted us access to the bridges, challenge course, ax throwing, mountain coaster, and zip line. The two suspension bridges were absolutely mesmerizing. The views of the canyon and waterfalls are stunning and worth the visit on their own. We also did the challenge course, which was a lot of fun, and the mountain coaster was an unexpected highlight. It was fast, smooth, and had just the right amount of excitement. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to do the giant zip line because of high winds, which is obviously beyond anyone’s control. Once the weather improved, though, the wait was estimated at about 90 minutes. The line didn’t actually look that long, so it was surprising how slowly it moved. If you’re hoping to do the zip line, I would recommend getting in line early and planning for a significant wait. The biggest disappointment for us was hydration. Once you’re on the far side of the bridge, there didn’t appear to be any bottle filling stations. The only option was vending machines charging $4 for water and $5 for pop. We paid for water, but the machine malfunctioned and we had to track down an employee and wait for assistance. I also found two other vending machines that were out of order. On a hot day with lots of walking, having reliable access to drinking water really should be a priority. Even a few bottle filling stations would make a huge difference to the overall guest experience. Overall, we still had a great time. The scenery is spectacular, the attractions are fun, and it makes for a memorable day out. With a few improvements to guest amenities and wait time management, this could easily be a five star attraction.
