Small aquarium located in Stanley Park. A lot of Kid actives. Nice modern design. Handicap/wheelchair accessible. Has a ground level floor and a basement with elevator. Gift shops on both floors and a restaurant with outdoor seating at the front entrance. No PEVs for the handicap. Large gift shop at exist. Outdoors it has an otter exhibit, shark tank, rescue seals/sea lions walk and an ice cream shop. I was expecting more jellyfish and seahorses, my favorites. No sea dragons. Has a small bird aviary with tortoises, sloth and monkey. They have a wide selection of aquatic animals such as fish, corals and anemone and a dragon. No penguins which one normally finds in an aquarium. Worth going to but can be crowded with student field trips, and familes with prams. Worth going to but it was crowded when I went there so I spent like 3 to 5 hours. Great gift shop. .
The jellyfish and otters were my favorite but my friends child loved the fish, reptiles and amphibians. It is not inexpensive but after having a friend who rehabbed animals I know that you are also paying for the wonderful habitats for the amazing animals so think of the expense as paying for entertainment, education and animal preservation.
We had a great time! We were surprised by how huge it was and how many amazing animals were there to see.
Very easy entry with the pre-purchase tickets. When we arrived, the line to purchase tickets at the site was extremely long, but we were able to direct entry quickly.
Wonderful experience and worth doing multiple time. Great value for money, with so much to see and do. A bit crowded, but worth it for all the amazing and interesting things to see. Plan for a few hours, as the place is huge and there is so much to look at.
A well maintained and kept Aquarium with some great displays from fish to reptiles to the sealions outside. Its always a little sad to see wild animals kept in captivity even those that have been rescued and as is the case most places a larger space for them to move about in would be preferable especially for the Sealions and otters. We stopped in the cafe beforehand for a drink and the prices were comparable with other Vancouver tourist places. The admission price of around £25.00 ($47cad) isnt too bad for around 90 minutes enjoyment. Two months before arriving I tried to book animal experiences but they were all sold out, so if you intend to do these plan well in advance. All in all a fascinating look into the world below the waves
It was a lovely aquarium and we had a great time! The sharks were the highlights and we loved the talks they had.
This an awesome aquarium. Lots to do and see. Watching the sea otters get fed was so much fun. The staff was friendly and everything was well maintained and clean. Would definitely visit again.
This aquarium has timed tickets which is a joke. Overpriced, you can’t see the exhibits because there are so many rude people! Stay away the aquarium!
Really busy on a rainy day. Getting seats in cafe is a nightmare. The hot chocolate is awful avoid. Viewing spaces and attractions rammed on wet days. Lots to see however and a great range of animals.
