Acquired Taste Food Tour in Georgetown

Our guide Mike was fantastic. Plenty of food throughout the 2 hour. Definitely do not eat before you go. Plan on spending sometime in Georgetown on M Street shopping. Just on a personal note, the first stop was “maple infused”, not something I enjoyed because it was overly sweet for me. However, the rest of my group loved it.

We had a wonderful tour with Mike. It was record heat on July 3rd and we appreciated the tour not getting cancelled. Mike is kind, knowledgable, funny …he was a great fit for us. This tour is well organized and we learned a lot about the history of Georgetown while enjoying 4 food stops which will not leave you hungry. Mike, thank you so much for sharing your day with us!

I enjoy food tours like these to get a small sampling of the area without having to commit to one restaurant or food experience. This was definitely a full meal experience with a sampling of breakfast, lunch and dinner locations followed by dessert. Each location is not something I would have sought out as a first visitor stop, but glad I was introduced to them all. Our guide, Mike, was easy going and answered all our questions. All in all a food tour to remember.

One of the absolute highlights of our trip. It was just my husband and me on the tour with our wonderful guide, Mike, and we couldn't have asked for a more fun experience. We had a fantastic time exploring Georgetown, enjoying the warm weather, learning about the area's rich history, and, of course, sampling some amazing food along the way. Mike was incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and engaging. He shared many interesting stories about Georgetown and made the entire tour feel more relaxed and personal. The food stops were all delicious and gave us a great taste of the local scene. If you're looking for a fun way to experience Georgetown, this food tour is a must. Great food, fascinating history, and an outstanding guide. We enjoyed every minute of it! Definitely make sure you come hungry as there is no shortage of food and it's all yummy!

Fantastic tour & great food! Our guide, Mike, was the best—interesting, funny, and catered to every need. Enough history and stops along the way for everyone to learn something but no standing in the same spot forever. Highly recommend!

First, this is a challenging review to write because there were some good parts. I booked this tour telling them I am a vegetarian. He states he was never informed. Which is frustrating and quite frankly a little embarrassing the group was worried I had nothing to eat. Nor did he try to rectify the situation and get me something with no meat. He just said I would be able to have something at the next stop. Next, I specifically told him that I had slow elderly walkers with us and he walked slow and was wonderful about the pace, but I suggested he shorten up some of the walking, which didn’t happen. Second stop fantastic, third stop fantastic, my mother could walk anymore and he ran to the last stop and got our cupcakes and brought them to stop 3. That was his saving grace that was wonderful!!! My mom was so appreciative. Cupcakes delicious too.

You will leave with full tummies! Mike was very informative about Georgetown and the history. There’s no way we would have tried any of these places or seen as much on our own. There is a lot of walking. It’s an all weather event so come prepared. Also, if it is hot bring your own water. You get water at the restaurants , too.

We walked around a busy Georgetown University campus, got a few history highlights, and then had four stops with very good food: a breakfast sandwich, a veggie taco, a fantastic steak salad, and a cupcake.
