The 1692 Salem Historical Day Tour will meet at the Hermetic Arts Center at 272 Essex St. Your Guide will check you in, and the tour will start at the corner of Essex and Sewell St. From there, you will continue down Essex St. to the Witch House. As you walk through Salem to visit each historical site, you will hear a jaw-dropping story covering Salem's history before the trials, what caused the witch hysteria, who were the Judges and Accusers, how residents responded to the accusations, who were the 20 victims, and how the trials came to an end. The tour was very interesting and the guide was very friendly. Our only problem was that he speaks very quickly which means he sometimes slurs his words and we had a hard time understanding him for a lot of it. We were very happy to have this guide, we only wish he slowed down when he was speaking so we could all understand him better. Other than that, it was a very interesting tour!
It was a great tour with knowledgeable. Jeff brought his own Salem quirkiness which made the tour memorable!

We had a great time! The tour guide grew up in Salem and has been doing tours for many years, so was very knowledgeable about the history. We knew we were going to miss our original tour date/ time due to bad weather, so we sent a message to the organizers. They got back to us very quickly and were extremely accommodating, helping us pick a time for the next day.

If you’re interested in the history behind the witch trials, this is the tour you want to book. Jeff was an excellent guide and really dug into the facts and demystified the perceptions of that time. I learned a lot about the trials and even how Salem has evolved since. The tour hit all the big historical sites I’d seen on recommendation lists. You understand it all on a much deeper level as Jeff shares the history of each site and ends on the lessons we can take from it now. Would highly recommend.
