All tours depart from Salem's Old Town Hall, on the three steps. A local historian guides you through the cobblestone-lined streets of this 17th century city by the glow of lantern light. Explore the driving factors behind the infamous Witch Trials Hysteria of 1692, meeting real practicing witches along the way. Learn about the rise of Salem as a world-class haunted seaport, creating some of the wealthiest families in its history.
We will be strolling the cobblestoned streets of the Essex St Pedestrian walking mall. This is the very heart of Salem, which once was a Native American trading path. You will visit the site of the First Church of Salem and hear the haunting tale of the Lady in Blue.
One of the most photographed sites in the city, the Bewitched statue will be your next stop. Learn how the locals *really* felt about this 9 foot bronze statue being dedicated in 2005. Why are their security cameras fixed on Samantha?
We bring you to the memorial to pay respects to the victims of the 1692 Witch Trials.
We discus the history of the home and visit the Gardens (with permission). We do not go inside the home.
We stroll through a section of the historic district. Photo opportunities.
We discuss the history of the Witch House. We do not enter the Witch House, this is an outside activity only

- We do not enter any buildings or cemeteries on this tour, this is an outdoor activity only.
- Tour group size may be up to 40 guests per group during busy times
- There are no public restrooms on the tour route. Please plan accordingly.
- The consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on all tours.
- Smoking and vaping is prohibited on all tours.
- Please allow at least 2 hours for this tour. Some tours run up to 2 hours and 15 minutes

Our guide was very knowledgeable and thoughtful keeping us out of the direct hot sunlight. Interesting to learn that Salem was the early major ports of call in the New England area until the ships got too big for the water front. I also imagined the witch trials lasted for years; not just 4 months. It was a wonderful walking tour of Salem.
We had an AWESOME experience on this tour with Sean as our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide to Salem's storied history! The 2 hour walking tour was perfect for our family ranging in age from 10 to 50. We loved that the tour gave more than just the witchy history of 1692. Featured 2 buildings from Hocus Pocus and ended at the Memorial to those hanged for witchcraft. Sean was engaging, funny, and perfectly suited for his role as guide. It was a hot, muggy August day but he found us shade at nearly every stop and we all had a great experience despite the heat. Highly recommend!!
Michael was absolutely AMAZING! His storytelling, jokes, and personality made the tour so much fun from start to finish. He somehow managed to make every story interesting, creepy, and hilarious all at the same time. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and it definitely shows! And then there was his cat sidekick… 🐈⬛😂 Honestly, that cat completely stole the show. At this point, I’m not sure if we went on a tour or accidentally attended the cat’s personal meet-and-greet. Michael had us laughing one minute and looking over our shoulders the next. The stories were fascinating, the jokes were top-notch, and the whole experience felt like we were hanging out with a friend who just happens to know ALL the creepy history of Salem. If you’re looking for a tour with great storytelling, lots of laughs, creepy history, and an unexpected feline celebrity, GO SEE MICHAEL!

Mel was awesome! She was historically accurate but also made the tour light and fun. I did the 11am, I recommend to do it later in the day during summer because it was really hot. However Mel made stops between places were we could be protected from the sun when it was possible.
