Itinerary
Tour the haunted streets where the infamous Witch Trials happened with a licensed public guide and paranormal investigator! Learn the strange truths of Salem past and present and maybe capture ghostly evidence of your own.
Giles Corey was pressed here! This is believed to be the location where accused witch Giles Corey was pressed to death after he refused to confess. Probably the most gruesome story on the tour! Stand where he died and learn of the cruel curse he put upon the city as he breathed his last tortured breath!
A quick stop a haunted church graveyard with ties to the Witch Trials! Great photo opportunity with beautiful antique gravestones.
The location of the dungeon where the accused witches were held and tortured as they awaited trial and execution! Here you learn the history of the Witch Trials, the fanatical Puritans, and my favorite Witch Trials character, Tituba, the innocent enslaved woman who might have been a clandestine practitioner of Voodoo! Quite possibly the most active haunted site in Salem. Make sure to take lots of photographs here!
Bridget Bishop's land. You will recognize this stop if you ever watch the ghost hunter shows. Relentlessly haunted by the restless spirit of one of the most ornery Witch Trials victims. Strangely enough this is also where Alexander Graham Bell demonstrated his telephone for the first time before a mass audience. People have reported weird physical manifestations of ghostly energy and taken some amazing pictures here.
A great chance to snap a picture of location from the classic Hocus Pocus movie! This is where the big "I Put A Spell On You" ball was filmed!
Vampires! My favorite part of the tour, here is where we delve into vampire legends and folklore as well as the strange truth about modern day true life blood drinkers! These stories get bloody.
Master magician Harry Houdini performed a dramatic escape right here in Salem!
Serial killer time! Both the Boston Strangler and the brutal maniac Carl Panzram executed their nastiest murders in Salem. You will learn the details here.
A haunted bar!
Dating to 1636 one of the oldest cemeteries in the United States. Resting place of Witch Trial judges and townsfolk who lived through the terrible ordeal. Tremendously haunted. Hawthorne hung out here during his life and possibly still does after death. Important American history site and a ritual location for modern magical practitioners.
Classy art museum which hides some of Salem's darkest secret artifacts!
Here we share ghost photographs captured during our years of investigation.

As the Tour says, he talked about vampires, ghosts, voodoo and Salem Witch history. It was entertaining and informative. We went to a few different places. There are a few things he related that we did not know about.
Our guide was amazing! He was so informative and took time to answer our questions. His personal experiences added to the tour to make it even more spooky!
We had an amazing time on our tour! It was full of history and our group of 9 enjoyed it, we ranged from teenagers to adults.
We missed our evening tour due to the weather. I received a message from our guide inviting us to come the next day. It was unexpected & made me very happy. The guide was awesome. The history we learned was highly interesting. Loved the tour.
Amazing tour! The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend if you are visiting Salem.
Our guide was an excellent storyteller. We learned so much and had a great time! Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about Salem’s history—was especially fun to do at night.
Dr. Vitka absolutely made this tour. You can tell right away he isn’t just reading from a script. As a Salem local, historian, and paranormal investigator, he knows the city inside and out, and his passion for the subject comes through in every story. I really liked that he didn’t just stick to the usual witch trial history. He mixed in the paranormal, local legends, vampire lore, and even talked about modern ghost hunting techniques and his own experiences investigating around New England. Whether you’re a believer or a skeptic, he makes it interesting without trying to force anything on you. The stories about Salem’s darker history and the lesser-known locations were some of my favorite parts. He also has a great sense of humor, so the tour never feels dry or like a history lecture. If you’re trying to decide which tour to take in Salem, I’d have no problem recommending this one. It was informative, entertaining, and one of the highlights of our trip.
There are so many walking tours in Salem to pick from. It was overwhelming to select, but we are so glad we made the choice to go with Dr. Vitka and Spellbound Tours. His passion for history clearly shows and the narration was so more interesting from what we observed just walking by other walking tours. He has an ability to captivate his audience and make everyone feel engaged. I really appreciated that. We learned a great deal of history mixed with spooky tales from the crypt! Go with this tour. You will not be disappointed.
We had an amazing experience with Spellbound Ghost Tours! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about Salem’s history, both the well-known stories and the lesser-known details. He presented everything in such a fun, engaging, and entertaining way that the entire tour flew by. We enjoyed every minute of it and learned so much along the way. I do recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and maybe bringing some water! It’s not too long of a walk and there’s lots of stops for rest. If you’re visiting Salem, I highly recommend booking a tour with Spellbound Ghost Tours, you won’t be disappointed!
Very interesting tour and our guide was super knowledgeable. We had a good time walking around and learning new things. Our kid was even impressed. He later told us all about the tour and I was surprised on how much he was paying attention and remembered so many details
