Highlight of our Peru trip!
We had an incredible experience doing the 5-day premium Salkantay Trek with Salkantay Trekking! The scenery was breathtaking, the food was fantastic, and everything was well organised. A special shout-out to our guide, Fredy Apaza, who was amazing! He was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about ecotourism and leaving no trace. We learnt so much about local plants and their uses, as well as Incan culture and history. He even played a traditional Andean flute while we hiked, which made the experience extra special! An absolute highlight of our trip to Peru. We highly recommend Salkantay Trekking! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Trekking through heaven
Had an amazing trek with Wilfredo Pitanso. He was super informative and helpful for the whole trek. Pick ups and transports were easy and stress free. Early wake ups were made super easy with amazing breakfasts. Breakfasts weren’t the only amazing food either, every meal was fresh and was some of the best Peruvian food I’ve had on my trip. The hiking was hard but worth it. I would recommend some time in Cusco to acclimate as a minimum for this trek. But even if you are struggling the option for riding a mule is available on the hardest part. The views were easily some of the best I’ve experienced from anywhere.

An Absolute Must
The best tour guide ever Wilfredo Pitanso Puma!!! He made this tour so special. Peru is absolutely gorgeous and he enhanced our trek by always checking in and encouraging us on the harder hiking days. He always had a positive attitude and was one of the most informative guides we’ve ever had. Could not recommend enough not only this tour but also Wilfredo.

Excellent and memorable
Excellent from arrival to departure. Our guide 'the Andean Goat' Franz was fantastic . Knowledgeable and passionate about the Inca history and the Inca religion.He was continually supportive and created a great team morale. Faultless. The trek was challenging but every step of the way was worthwhile. In addition the Salkantay support team were responsive when needed.

Amazing Salkantay Trek!
Franz the Andean GOAT was the most incredible guide for our trek! He shared his knowledge of the region, and that of the Incas. It really made the trek so much more enjoyable and interesting. He was organised, kind and funny, and assisted everyone within our group. His communication was excellent and we knew exactly where we needed to be and what was happening for each day. Our interactions and communication from all Salkantay Trekking team members was excellent. The trek was well organised, food was excellent and accommodation was amazing. I would highly recommend using Salkantay Trekking and Franz as your guide!

Franz, the Andean GOAT! 🦙🇵🇪 Franz was absolutely amazing! He was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely excited to share the history, culture, and beauty of the Andes with us. You could tell he truly loves what he does, and that passion made the entire experience even more special. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience and helped us appreciate everything we were seeing along the way. If you’re lucky enough to have Franz as your guide, you’re in great hands! His knowledge, enthusiasm, and personality made our trip unforgettable. There’s a reason we call him the Andean GOAT! We would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Peru!

The AMAZING Salkantay Trek!
Franz- The Andean GOAT, This was a hard trek, but worth every hill to climb and mountain to walk down from. Amazing views, Franz was super knowledgeable and answered all our questions, food was fantastic, accommodation was amazing. If you love hiking this trek is for you!

Fantastic life-affirming experience!
An incredible experience. Our guide Franz, the 'Andean Goat'! was superb 😃 He went out of his way to ensure that our entire group of 10 were well looked after and was always happy to answer any questions or queries that we had. His genuine passion for Incan history and culture shone through, Franz was very knowledgeable and I loved his explanations about the trail as we progressed along it. Would heartily recommend!
