Loved the salkantay trek from beginning to end. Anthony was such an amazing guide, always happy to help, happy to be here and guide us, and really fun. The chefs Juan and Alejo cooked such delicious food and Cesar the muleeter was always of great help. All of them were so kind to us. The trek wouldn’t have been the same without them. We also loved the diversity of landscapes, the scenery was incredible. And we were lucky to be within an amazing group of people which made the experience even more memorable!
Had an amazing time with Alex as our guide! He made sure to take care of all of our needs and took photos of us every chance he got!
I had an absolutely amazing experience with Salkantay Trekking. Everything was well-planned and organised, from logistics, food to accommodation. A big thank you to our guides, Alan and Frank, who were incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, keeping us motivated throughout the trek. Also, I am thankful to the talented cooks who whipped up a delicious and hearty feast at every campsite. Ending the trek each day at the beautiful glamping domes, surrounded by stunning scenery, was a perfect touch to the journey. Not forgetting my wonderful group mates who made the entire journey memorable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend the Salkantay trek.
This trip was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Our guide was Alex (mountain lion!) and he made the trek all the more memorable. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about Peruvian culture and really elevated the trip to its full potential.
We had Alex (“Mountain Lion”) as our guide, and he was amazing! He was patient, encouraging, and always knew how to push us through the toughest parts of the trek while making it fun. He went above and beyond by capturing incredible photos and making sure we truly enjoyed every moment. His love for the local culture and nature really shone through, making the experience even more meaningful. If you have the chance to hike with Alex, you’re in the best hands!
Had a fantastic experience here the South African lady Kwanele has a heart of gold one of the nicest people she was very helpful to me and my friend and explained the trip perfectly and gave us a fantastic price !!
This was a wonderful experience. Nico is exceptional at what he does—knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly understanding. He made the journey even more memorable, and I truly hope to do this trek again in a few years. When I return, I hope I’ll have the chance to reunite with Nico as my guide.
The guides Jordan and Pedro were incredible; I cannot say anything bad about them. The whole time was magnificent. The entire trip is well planned, and the food and campsites are perfect. I recommend going with them on this beautiful trek.
My sister and I had an incredibly memorable 5 day Salkantay Trek experience. Our guide, JC, was very knowledgeable on the history and geography of the areas we were hiking. He also prepared us with what to expect from each day of the hike and the equipment we would need. I felt like we got a lot for the value of the trip. There was no shortage of food at meals, and I really appreciated having the snack bags. All transportation was included as well. We were lucky enough to have great weather (5 days of sunshine), and the views during the hike and of Machu Picchu were incredible. This hike is not easy, but the challenge, views, and getting to experience the local culture are well worth it!
Our Salkantay trek was truly amazing, and a huge part of that was our guide, José Chávez Álvarez. His knowledge of the surroundings was incredible. He could tell us about the mountains, the plants, the wildlife and the Inca history at every step. He was attentive and supportive throughout the hike, always making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe, while keeping the atmosphere fun and relaxed. The food on the trek was excellent and the accommodations were comfortable, which made the whole experience even better. José made the difference, though. He is simply the best guide we could have asked for. Thank you, José, for an experience we will never forget!
