Our 5-day Salkantay trek was just as we wanted it to be. Fernando did a great job with taking care of our group and informing us of what to expect each day. All of the details were taken care of and our expedition ran very smoothly. I would highly recommend this company and especially Fernando as your guide!

Unforgettable trek!
Some of the best but tough days I’ll have. The hiking was just amazing with beautiful views. The chef, Nasario, catered to our vege needs and the food was 10/10. The guide Johans made the whole trip perfect from start to finish. When we needed to go slow, he didn’t rush, when we needed a break, we took one. When we wanted a photographer, he was right there do it. He was so informative about the culture, nature, animals and everything in between. The only issue was the mosquitos but what can you do! Thanks so much everyone who made this trip perfect for us :)

Los Corazones Valientes explore Salkantay
Quechuas Expeditions guided our group of five on a private tour of the Salkantay Trek, Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain and more. Seriously they were amazing. One week before our trip the Inca Trail closed due to landslides. Wayra (el jefe) worked with me to completely adjust our itinerary as we were originally scheduled for Inca Trail. The result ended up being even better than our original plan. Our guide, Nildo, was an absolute gift. A local with Quechua roots, Nildo has a huge heart, endless knowledge of the culture, the geography and the Andean cosmology. He truly attended to all of our needs and requests for variation from the planned schedule. Everything we did with them was flawlessly executed - every detail handled for us. And everyday there were new and delightful surprises along the way. Saying goodbye to Nildo was emotional. Such a good man. We had such a good trip. No question - if I was to plan another trip to the area, I would want Wayra, Nildo, Johan, Armando and Jose to be the team to help again. Thank you so much Quechua Expeditions!!’

Stunning trek, amazing guides, good food, fine accommodations and okay office
We did the 5D/4N Salkantay Trek with Quchuas Expeditions and had a great time! Along the way we met lovely people. Fernando and Asensio, our guides, were absolutely amazing (10/10). They were always up for a joke and very helpful regarding any questions or needs. While Asensio left after day two with part of the group for a shorter trip, Fernando led us through the rest of the trek. He knows those mountains and the nature surounding it so well, it is super interesting to learn from him and we felt safe at any given time. Thank you Fernando for everything!!!
Also a big thank you to our horseman Juan with his cute dog Bobby who tiredlessly and to the cook Armando who passionately prepared amazing food for us with minimal kitchen tools!
The communication with the office was okay. A negative point is the different information on their channels about the packing list, etc. This led to a lot of confusion on our side and to cold nights for some of our newly met friends (they had no sleeping bag for a night of 4 degrees without an oven and only blanklets). This issue could definitely be solved with a uniform packing list and clear communication. Also the intinery is not fully correct regarding the distances... it seems the office declares areal distances and not the real walking distances.
The accommodations were good. The first and the third one were very nice. The second one has not been cleaned (due to some issues on the side of the camp ground operator) before we arrived and after day 2 which is the hardest, we would have really appreciated a clean dome and a hot shower. After an intervention from our side and Fernando, the issue has been more or less solved. The last accommodation in Aguas Calientes was noisy and simple but all-in-all okay.
All in all it was a great experience and we would recommend the tour to our friends.

Amazing Salkantay trek!
We had an amazing experience on the Salkantay trek with Queuchas Expeditions!
Trek - fantastic hiking, spectacular scenery and an agenda which nicely balances the harder hikes with downtime and easier days.
Staff - second to none! Nildo is one of the best tour guides I have ever had; he brought incredible enthusiasm and energy to our trek (no matter the weather!), was always at hand to solve any problem we might have, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone had the best experience possible. The whole staff team was fantastic.
Food - the food was high quality and varied throughout our trek. Our cooks (Armando and Herman) generally did a great job of accommodating dietary requirements (vegetarian and gluten free).
Accommodation - generally very good and comfortable, though on occasion we had to request standard items that were not already provided (e.g. towels, toilet paper).
Logistics - overall our trip was well organised and ran very smoothly. We especially appreciate the effort made by Quechas Expeditions to ensure we could collect our large bags from Cusco on the night we returned (despite it being late).
Would recommend!

Unforgettable 5 day Salkantay trek
We had an incredible adventure on the 5 day salkantay trek to Machu Picchu. I would strongly recommend booking with quechuas expeditions!
Nildo was an amazing guide, he brought so much positive energy to the group and he really went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every minute of the trek! We learned so much from him about the incas and the local nature.
The food was delicious with good portion sizes! I am vegetarian and coeliac and the chefs, Armando and Herman, took great care to accommodate my diet and made separate gluten free veggie options for me when needed. I do recommend bringing snacks though!
Thanks again to the team for making this such an unforgettable experience!

Fantastic Experience
It was the most amazing experience. Our guide Bel was very knowledgeable of the landscape and the local flora and fauna. Our cook, Isaco, prepared excellent meals which really powered us through the tricky parts.
My friend and I had been numpties, showing up without booking Machu Picchu. Quechuas managed to sort us a ticket quite last minute. We could not be more grateful.

5 day trekking Machu Picchu
It was a fantastic experience! We have seen so many beautiful, different and breathtaking things. We were 2 and 1 guide. He knew well what he was talking about, helped us well and told us quite a lot. English could possibly be a little better for more conversations.
The domes were clean, tidy and large. Overlooking the stars! The last night in Aguas Caliente was a bit disappointing.
In terms of price / quality you get 4 nights, food and drinks and guidance. The food was super tasty and more than enough. Only the extra costs were disappointing; there was no cold water, taxi to hotspring is expensive and another taxi bit. The rest is of course optional (drinks, wifi etc) but there are some costs.
Furthermore, everything was well arranged, times and distances well estimated and also at Machu Picchu everything smooth and great!

Unforgettable experience
We had an excellent experience with the agency. Everything was very well organized, the communication was clear from the first moment, and every detail was taken care of throughout the entire tour. The team demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and a great commitment to ensuring we enjoyed the experience to the fullest. Without a doubt, I would recommend them to anyone who wants to get to know Peru in a safe and well-organized way.
