Still Talking About This Tour a Year Later
This review is long overdue—nearly a year—but our experience has stayed with me ever since.
Paulo was an exceptional guide and truly made the day unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and passionate about the Douro Valley, sharing insights that made every stop feel meaningful rather than just another winery visit.
One of the highlights was the very first winery he took us to, which we later discovered is featured in Theo of Golden. It was such a fun surprise and reinforced just how thoughtfully curated this tour was.
The scenery was breathtaking, the wine was outstanding, and the pace of the day was perfect. It never felt rushed, and Paulo made sure every detail was taken care of so we could simply enjoy the experience.
Since returning home, I've recommended Paulo and this tour to every friend I know who has traveled to Porto, and every one of them has thanked me afterward. If you're looking for an authentic, memorable way to experience the Douro Valley, book this tour, you won't regret it.

Fabulous experience- highly recommend!
Breathtaking views of the Douro Valley - a must see. Paulo was our guide and he was outstanding. He provided us with a lot of interesting information, brought us to spots with magnificent views, and he was a genuine pleasure to spend the day with. He customized our tour so it was tailored to the kind of experiences we enjoy. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend.

Excellent day visiting the Douro Valley
We had a great day visiting the Douro Valley with our guide, Paulo. We cruised down the Douro river, had lunch in a local restaurant and did a port tasting at a vineyard. We also went to two different viewing points and the views were really spectacular. We were picked up and dropped back to our villa and Paulo even waited for us to pop into a supermarket on the way home. All in all a first class day.

Amazing experience. Highly recommend
We had a wonderful time visiting Douro Valley region. Amazing scenic views….winding roads with terraces vineyards looked so beautiful!
Made stops in Amarante, Lamego & visited Quinta Bomfim in Pinhão. The view from Galafura was the best. Our trip was more enjoyable because of our excellent tour guide/driver, Rodolfo. He made sure we got to see what we wanted. He was kind, understanding and courteous.
