Great way to experience Douro Valley without having to manage the logistics. We had a convenient meeting point in Porto and then 8 of us headed to the Duoro Valley in a comfortable van. First stop within the first hour was a stop to purchase a coffee and pastry as well as the start of the nice views. The driving was comfortable and the views along the way were great. We arrived in Pinhao and went on our boat ride, which was one of the best parts of the tour. We had a nice wooden boat and it was only the 8 of us on the boat. Our boat tour guide, Pascoal, was amazing! He was personable, knowledgeable and funny! He was informative all along the river portion and also made us a tasty drink. The views were beautiful. Following that we were back in the van and headed to Quinta Do Panascal for our first tasting. The vineyard had beautiful views and we tasted 3 ports(Fonseca). It was a lovely stop. Following the tasting we headed back into the van and made a stop at a nice overlook point for pictures. Then to lunch, which was a nice property, but no real views. Along with lunch, we did have unlimited wine and also a port opening presentation (Quintela/Piano/Carlos Alonso). We then made our way back to Porto. My favorite part was the boat tour portion, but I also enjoyed the stop at Quinta do Panascal as it was a beautiful location with views. We had a great group of 8 and it was definitely an enjoyable day. Well worth not having to try and navigate transportation, boat tour and a winery on our own.

We did a 2 day tour into Douro. It was fabulous. Our guide, Hugo, was very knowledgable, entertaining and kept us on track so we did not miss anything we had on our itinerary. We never felt rushed. We enjoyed the beautiful countryside, wine tours/tastings and leisurely lunches. This is a not to missed tour!!

Great tour for a one day experience in the valley. The old winery display and the authentic lunch are some of the best “tourist sites” we have visited. The boat ride is just long enough and the day not too long.

This was such an amazing tour that was absolutely worht the time and money. We had Tiago as our tour guide and he gave us such a spectacular experience! He was able to share such great history and insights about Wine, Porto, and Portugal as a whole. We left the tour truly feeling like we learned and appreicated more than coming in. Highly reccommend!

Highly recommend! From pickup to drop off Juao was an exceptional guide. We really enjoyed the small group tour experience. It was an amazing day in the beautiful Duoro Valley!
