Tanya made the whole day thoroughly enjoyable with her enthusiasm and sense of humour. There's a lot to see, and the scenery is fantastic. If you get a chance to leave Porto, this is the trip to take. Special mention to Victor, the driver with all those hills and bends in the road.
One of the worst tour ever a waste of time and money much easier to go by your self by car or train the programme wasn’t respected we were late in every place we had lunch not really good at 2-45 pm the boat trip on the river was very short only the wine tasting firm was very good but even here too short and final things we booked a English tour while it was mainly in French with some information in English very very disappointed
The views throughout the Douro Valley are absolutely stunning: the terraced vineyards lining the river hillsides make for an unforgettable backdrop. We especially enjoyed the 45 mns river cruise, which offered a relaxing and scenic way to take in the landscape from a completely different perspective. The food and wine tasting were quite enjoyable too. A special thanks to Licinio, who made our experience even more enjoyable.
Licínio was a great guide. Impressive knowledge and ability to share information in multiple languages. Sergio was the silent hero. Maneuvering through tight spaces with a bus was impressive. The vinyard, wine tasting, boat ride and food were top notch. Highly recommend.

A good Douro Valley day, let down by the lunch Overall, we enjoyed our Douro Valley tour. The scenery was beautiful and the day was well organised. A special mention must go to Virgilio and Diego, our driver and guide, who were both excellent — friendly, professional and knowledgeable, and they made the journey very enjoyable. The disappointing part for us was the included lunch. The cabbage soup was rather bland, the farmer’s pasta was just average, and the cheesecake and espresso were nothing particularly memorable. The accompanying wine was also fairly ordinary. Considering this was a food-and-wine experience in the Douro Valley, we had expected the lunch and wine to be one of the highlights of the day. The restaurant does have a lovely view over the Douro, which was easily the best part of the lunch stop. Overall, a pleasant tour with an excellent driver and guide, but the quality of the lunch could definitely be improved.
Fantastic day! First stop was beautiful Amarante where we enjoyed coffee and a pastry overlooking the river. Then a relaxing scenic river cruise followed by a stunning viewpoint 640m up and a tasty lunch. And then some fine wines at independent vineyard Avidagos. Thank you to our superb guide Pedro A and our excellent driver Pedro.
A terrific all day visit to the Douro Valley from Porto. We were guided by the lovely Bruno A and driven by the skilful Pedro - some of the roads were very exciting! Beautiful countryside, relaxing river trip, authentic food and a wonderful wine tasting at Avidagos. Highly recommended.
