To see and sense the cruelty was so humbling—-and you come away a changed person! Eugen our driver was so good at making sure we had our personal needs met (rest room, snack, etc). He was interested in each passenger, and provided conversation related to the locale. The sign when you enter Auschwitz says “Those who fail to remember are doomed to repeat this”. We all must rely on our faith in a living God to make sure this doesn’t happen again!
A huge thank you to the agency for making this experience possible. Our original tour was cancelled the day before, and several other agencies told us that, with such short notice, there was nothing they could do. However, they really went above and beyond to help us and managed to get the tickets for us, allowing us to have this important experience before leaving. The service was truly exceptional, and the person we dealt with was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. We really appreciated all the effort and kindness they showed us. A special thank you also to our guide, Eugenio, who was extremely knowledgeable, clear, and kind throughout the entire visit. He explained everything in a very interesting and sensitive way, making the experience even more meaningful. Thank you again for making all of this possible. If I could rate less than 1 star I would. We booked this trip through Viator and was told the night before at 18:00 our trip was cancelled, leaving me and my partner gutted we were missing out on something so interesting to us. When I asked why we were unable to attend I was told it was because the late booking we made a week before the trip. However, it does not state anywhere that there is a risk of not getting tickets, it still lets you buy the tour. Had we have known there was a risk of not receiving tickets we would have planned our day better but instead was left stranded on our last day in Krakow with every other tour of interest understandably fully booked.
We never got to go on the tour I booked it and paid for the tickets and 3 hours later they cancelled the tour and as yet no refund absolutely disgusting no response from my email they said it was due to the weather but nonsense it was a beautiful day
Hotel pickup was excellent and timely. Once all persons were collected Eugene made easy work of getting to Auschwitz museum. He made sure we knew all the details needed before handing us over to our very knowledgeable tour guide. Great experience considering the subject matter. Would definitely recommend despite the early start.
It was an excellent and very well organised tour. The price was reasonable. The van was big enough, clean and very convenient. The driver Eugene contacted us in advance, providing all necessary information about the trip and the pick up point. He met us on time very close to the place we stay on one way street and was very helpful during the voyage. Highly recommended.
Finally checked this off of my bucket list. Long overdue, but this experience was well worth the wait. Seeing the camps themselves is just breathtaking. Too hard to describe. One has to see for him or herself. So, I’ll focus on the tour package. Pickup was smooth and seamless, as was the drop-off at the end. Our driver, Eugene, was just fantastic. At one point, he expertly avoided a deer who jumped in front of the minivan!. He was an excellent driver and coordinator. All of his instructions were clear and easy to understand. The female guide, at the camps, was informative and professional. Highly recommend this company. Well done!
Our driver, Eugene, was very patient with us as I apparently gave him the wrong hotel name (there are more than 1 hotels in Krakow with the same name) for a very early morning pickup. The pickup was supposed to have been around 7 am, but they had to change it to 5:30 due to the demands of the museum. Once we got to Auschwitz, our instructions were very clear which is always nice with these tours. He handed us off to Anna who escorted us through Auschwitz and then Birkenau. She was very knowledgable about both and told us that her grandfather was part of the rescue medical team that went into Birkenau after liberatlon to try and help the remaining survivors. Admittedly, Auschwitz is trying to process thousands of visitors every day, but that part of the tour felt rushed. We had to quickly move through some of the blocks, and I don't blame this on her but rather on the sheer need to process that many visitors.
It was a truly inspiring and meaningful experience. Eugene was an excellent guide: attentive, punctual, clear, and empathetic. He has a deep knowledge of the subject and manages to convey it with both sensitivity and insight.
My friend Iara and I had an excellent experience, we were attended by Eugênio who guided us with great kindness and clarity throughout the entire journey and visit. Thank you for the rich experience we had. It was fantastic.
