Worth the money, such an intense experience but very much worth it. For what we payed for compared to how long the tour was, I would say that it is definitely worth all the money. Such a busy place but you’re constantly moving with your group so no massive lines at all.

We were very disappointed with this tour, mainly because what we actually received was quite different from what we had booked. The afternoon before the excursion, we were contacted and told that the tour could no longer start at 7:00 am and would instead begin at 2:00 pm. At the same time, we were informed that no live guide would be available and that we would be provided with an audio guide instead. That was already frustrating, especially as we had an evening flight and had booked the early departure for a reason. In the end, there was no audio guide either. We were simply sent a link to a website and had to read all the information ourselves on our phones. There was no automatic partial refund for the missing guide and no real alternative offered. Our entrance time for Auschwitz I was around 4:30 pm, which left us with very little time before Auschwitz I closed at 6:00 pm and Birkenau at 6:30 pm. Instead of being able to take in the place properly, we found ourselves rushing through the sites while trying to read explanations on our phones at the same time. For somewhere like Auschwitz-Birkenau, that really changes the whole experience. It is a place where you need time, quiet and space to understand what you are seeing and reflect on it. We had none of that; the visit felt rushed and stressful from beginning to end. Several other people in our group were unhappy with the situation as well and complained. The information regarding the return was also inaccurate. We had been assured that we would be back at the original meeting point in Krakow between 7:00 and 8:00 pm, and no later than 8:00 pm. Given the actual schedule, that would simply not have been possible and we would have missed our flight. The one genuinely positive part of the experience was our driver, Łukasz. He was extremely kind and helpful, tried to support us as much as he could and, knowing about our flight, even dropped us off on the outskirts of Krakow on the way back so that we could take a taxi directly to the airport. Thanks to him, we made our flight. Overall, the experience was unnecessarily stressful and poorly organised. With a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau, sufficient time and reliable organisation matter even more than with a normal sightseeing tour. Unfortunately, neither was provided here. We would not book with this company again and cannot recommend this tour in its current form

This experience should be had by everyone at least once in their lifetime The admission fee is very fair considering the importance of this site and what it shares The length of visit could not possibly be enough to take in what needs to be fully absorbed but this tour group do a great job of providing as much information and exposure to what is available as they can in the time available This could be a two day experience and there still wouldn’t be enough time

This is a long tour. It takes 1.5 hours from Krakow to the museum, around two hours for the tour, a transfer to second museum, another hour long tour and then around 1.5 hours journey back to Krakow. The driver and tour guide were both first class. There is a lot of walking involved in the tour and several flights of stairs. It is without doubt the most thought provoking tour you will ever do. The exhibits explain the history and inhumanity of the camp. I saw grown men in tears when looking at the baby’s shoes collected in the dying days of the war as the drive to complete their aim of destroying Jews, Poles, Roma and other ‘subhumans’ outweighed their desire to retreat in the face of the advancing soviet army. I will never forget this day.

An incredibly moving and thought-provoking experience. Our tour guide was exceptional – extremely knowledgeable, thorough and engaging, explaining everything in a way that was clear and easy to understand. His genuine passion for preserving the history and ensuring these stories are never forgotten by future generations really shone through. At times, it was deeply emotional and upsetting, but such an important experience and one I would highly recommend. A must-see.
