We ascend the defensive wall of the city, a formidable Medieval structure of almost 4 km, very well preserved, exploring some of the access gates to the city of York.
We stop to admire this spectacular building completed in 1360 AD. For centuries, this construction has been the center of commerce for the city's great merchants. A medieval gem in the middle of the city.
An icon of medieval York: the Great Tower of what was the Castle erected since 1066 AD, when William the Conqueror began his reign of England
One of the largest Gothic Cathedrals in Europe, an impressive building built between the 13th and 15th centuries, seat of the Archbishopric of York, located on the ruins of the Roman fort.
Another medieval building not to be missed, standing for 600 years, part of the York Minster complex. Beautiful construction of a York that prospered a lot.
York was founded by the Roman Empire 1900 years ago, and today we can see one of the towers that enclosed a military garrison that housed 5,500 soldiers.

Excellent detailed and very enjoyable explanation. It's great that it was possible in Spanish. Totally recommended. Our guide helped us a lot in finding our way around and recommending more places.
We did a private tour with Mariano and it really was an unforgettable experience. His knowledge of history caught us as we walked across the city for over three hours they flew by! We would definitely recommend it and would not hesitate to take another tour with him if he returned to York.
The tour with Mariano was a fantastic experience. We chose a private tour for two in York City, and it gave us a lot of information in a very enjoyable and extraordinarily Pro way. Mariano’s great knowledge of the history of England (and more countries) and of all the sites we saw during the visit made us very enjoyable. We'll go back to York and hire him again. We would definitely recommend it.
a short stay break is an excellent place for everything you might need like all the big-name shop's cafes bars and restaurants from luxurious hotels to small rooms in a pub where you will enjoy a visit any time of the year.
