Absolutely loved the tour by Mad Alice! She was so knowledgeable, funny and very entertaining. She had an excellent memory with a vast knowledge of the local history. Brilliant!!!
A brilliant experience. Alice is hilarious and the tour was a great way to explore the city. How she managed to remember everyone’s name was amazing and she made sure to chat to everyone on the way round. Don’t miss out on this great tour!

Despite a downpour towards the end, this was an excellent tour led by Mad Alice. She brought every story to life and gave us a lot of interesting information about York. We were tired and not completely looking forward to it at the end of a long day but it was the highlight of our trip and I’m so glad we booked it. She is a brilliant entertainer and got my teenage daughter laughing a lot too. Highly recommend!!!
Oh Alice, what a fabulous tour guide you are. In fact, tour guide does not do you justice. You truly brought the gory frolics of past York tales to life in a fun, engaging, comedic and theatrical way!! Warm and kind, with a wonderful way of not only remembering peoples’ names, but making everyone truly feel part of the experience. The best York tour ever. Cannot recommend highly enough.
