Description
See Washington DC's historical monuments and memorials up close and personal on a 3-hour bike tour with an informative guide. Cruise around the National Mall and the Tidal Basin to see some of the most famous sights, and take breaks to walk around and explore attractions like the Lincoln Memorial.
Our Monuments tour does cross streets but there is no street riding making it the perfect option for families and those who may not have ridden a bike in an urban environment.
On a bike, you're able to see so much more than on foot or on a bus! If you've never taken a city tour before, DC is a perfect city to give it a try. We know that once you've toured by bike, it will be the first thing you look for on your next trip to another city!
Please note that the "what to expect section" provides a sample itinerary and you may tour in a slightly different order based on what may be going on in this busy city on the day of your tour.

We woke up to unexpected...
We woke up to unexpected storms that were going to extend on & off throughout the day. When we booked the rain was supposed to be done by 8:00 am and our tour did not start until 10:00, so we thought we would be safe. We Read that they do cancel for weather so we started trying to get a hold of the company at 7:30 that morning by phone and text, but no response. At 10:00 the guide called and confirmed that we where the only ones that he had and that where going to be canceling. He told me to continue to reach out to get a refund or reschedule, and have many times, but we have never heard from a soul, they just charged us, and never responded to any messages we sent.

The Best Way to See DC — Five Stars for Matthew!
Matthew was exceptional! He was friendly, informative, incredibly knowledgeable, and very accommodating. He always kept an eye out for our safety and kept us informed about everything happening around Washington, D.C. that day.
There was a high-level international visit taking place, which caused a few minor disruptions and street closures, but Matthew handled everything seamlessly and made sure we didn’t miss a beat.
I highly recommend this bike tour with Matthew. He truly made seeing Washington, D.C. by bike a memorable experience. Five stars all the way!

The best!
Bucketing rain aside in the final 15 minutes, what a brilliant way to see central DC and all the important stuff. Who knew the FDR monument was so epic, also MLK jr was very moving.

Great tour!
We did the bike tour last year but it was one of the best in Washington DC. My whole family loved it, very convenient and easy than walking such long distances and great information about each stop! 5+ highly recommend it !

Wally - “ the bad tour guide “
We had Wally as our guide . His disdain and negative comments about Trump was uncalled for and should never have been a part of our tour. I felt this was disgraceful as he should have been objective in his commentary and kept his political views to himself

This was such a wonderful tour! The tour guide Greg was so informative as we visited each monument and he kept the individual talks at each monument very succinct to allow for time to wander on our own and for the biking in between monuments. It was a fantastic tour that I highly recommend for anyone wanting an active DC experience.

best way to see monuments. Guide could have been more enthusiastic and provide more information: Wasn’t much help fixing the bikes at the start. Bikes were of good quality though.
