Best Tour Ever!
This was my second tour with Jon Noto (last year I took his Brooklyn Bridge tour) and he’s far and away the best tour guide I’ve had. I take walking tours in every country and state I visit so I know what good looks like and Jon is the GOAT. He spends a great deal of his time building his expertise doing research about 9/11 in particular, especially the personal stories from first responders, and he tells the story of heroic people who saved many lives and gave their own in the process. He’s amazing and I am telling all my friends and family to take any and all of Jon’s tours wi to CityShuffles when they are in NY. Thank you, Jon, for what was the highlight of my trip.

Incredible experience
I was highly impressed by this tour and my guide, Jon (who also happens to be the founder of the company). Jon was obviously knowledgeable and passionate about showcasing NYC. Also, from a hospitality standpoint, he went above and beyond. Before the actual tour, he was communicative - and even after, he kept his line open and was more than happy to provide suggestions for good neighbourhood eats. I might be coming back to NYC in December, and if I do, I am definitely reaching back out to him if I’m looking for any other tours!!

More than worth it!!
The tour was more than worth it — we highly recommend it! We visited so many places that we would never have seen if it hadn’t been for Jon. We learned in detail about the history of Lower Manhattan and everything that happened at the World Trade Center on 9/11. We’re extremely grateful for the tour and for the wonderful way we were treated. Thank you so much!!

Captivating performance by a knowledgeable guide
Jon was a knowledgeable, entertaining, and charismatic guide. He answered all of my questions, and gave me a personalized tour. I got a private view into some of the taverns in Wall St. And Jon told personal stories of some heroes on 9/11 that brought me to tears. He was captivating. Great guide for all ages.

Master Storytelling, Lasting Memories
I took Mike’s Brooklyn Bridge/DUMBO tour on a previous trip and enjoyed it so much that when I returned to NYC, I reached out directly to see if he was running any other tours. I ended up joining his new Wall Street/Financial District tour, and it did not disappoint!
What sets City Shuffles apart is the storytelling. Mike explains the stories behind the places you are seeing and really helps to paint the picture of why they matter. The result is that you actually remember what you learned long after the tour ends!
The tour was packed with fascinating details about the development of New York City, Wall Street, the Financial District, and the events of 9/11, but everything was presented in a way that felt engaging and relevant rather than like a history lecture. I left with a much deeper understanding of the city and several stories that I am still able to share with others later on!
If you enjoy architecture, urban history, engineering, city development, or simply learning how New York became what it is today, I highly recommend this tour. This is exactly the kind of tour that makes a city feel more connected and more meaningful. (Even in a city that you may have visited already many times!)

Great tour guide, very informative tour!
Jon is such a great person, filling the tours with little stories besides all the more in-depth information about what you can (and what you sometimes cannot ) see. The tours didn’t feel rushed and I would advise to bring a little more time than expected so you can enjoy all the different sites, ask questions (Jon’s knowledge about the city goes way beyond what you would expect) and find out the best places for pretty much everything. I would definitely book a tour again if I’m back in the city. I really recommend CityShuffles (I heard the sunset Brooklyn Bridge tour is amazing too)!
