- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
- Please note: All guests must go through airport-style security checks. During peak season and off-peak hours, wait times at security checkpoints can be up to 30 minutes.
- Visitors with a disability certificate of 67% or more enter the Vatican Museums for free. If the visitor is not self-sufficient, one companion also enters for free. These free tickets cannot be booked online and do not require a reservation. Simply go directly to the Vatican Museums entrance

The experience was absolutely amazing! Finding the meeting point was effortless, as it’s conveniently located just 100 meters from the entrance to the Vatican Museums. We got to see the best views and got a detailed tour of the Basilica, so much that she took out an iPad and would give us more detailed photos and explanations of what we were seeing!

An unpromising start turned into a magical experience! We made our way through the rain aiming to arrive at the tour starting point but with road works and rising panic we seemed to be going in circles. A phone call from Our guide was reassuring - they had not given up on us. 3 phone calls later and it was clear these people had a schedule to keep but we were not abandoned! Finally - minutes before Vatican security we joined the elect! Thank you Rome City Tours! Stephanie was like an angel - and if everyone else was ready to strangle us, she was the good shepherd who looked for the lost sheep.
