Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Skip the Line Guided Tour

Great tour! So much history and information. Our guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job. Our guide was very patient and did a great job keeping our group together in a very crowded environment.

The Vatican is a not-to-be-missed location when you're in Rome. Be prepared to have a dizzying array of historical information injected into your brain, along with some amazing art and artifacts of the Church. The museums themselves were really eye-opening, but the breath-taking part of the tour was of course the Sistine Chapel. No photos are allowed there, so it's good to take a beat and soak in as much as you can. For any faults he may have had, Michelangelo was one hell of an artist (pun intended). Be prepared for off-the-hook crowds. There is simply no way around the "cattle drive" of this tour. Embrace it and simply breathe in the history you're experiencing!

We booked a tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel and unfortunately turned up late after going to the previous day’s meeting point, not realising they were different locations. A young lad at the meeting point (sorry we didn’t catch his name!) was absolutely fantastic. He managed to book us onto another tour just half an hour later and personally escorted us through the queues, security, and into the museum to the correct meeting point. He even helped us at the desk with checking our passports. He went above and beyond to help us, was incredibly kind and professional, and genuinely saved the day. We were so grateful for his help and for how smoothly he sorted everything out for us. Excellent customer service and a great experience overall — highly recommended.

We had guide Silvia, she was super explained everything top and knew how to name the highlights. It's too much to watch so it was very nice that she told the things that were important.

Thank you, Polina, for a memorable and informative tour. The experience was well paced and easy to follow. Finding the meeting place was simple and the duration was perfect: not too long, not too short.

Our tour guide had an emergency and was not able to make it and the agency could not find a replacement so we did a self guided tour using the audio from the Vatican. Which was ok but I know we missed those special insider stories. We were able to skip the line into the Basilica which was great. Overall is was an ok experience.

We were lucky enough to be able to visit the day after the Sistine Chapel opened again following the conclave. Our host Marta was everything you could hope for from a guide. Her English was excellent and so the explanation of what we were seeing was second to none. I don't know how she was able to recognise and keep track of our group so quickly but she was able to keep us all together with expertise (let's just say not all of our group were easy to keep track of and she was very patient). We whistled through security and passed all the queues. The Vatican is busy and you are swept along by the crowd but Marta found spots to tuck away and explain what we were seeing. We had plenty of time in the Sistene Chapel to take in the art. Marta was very clear that taking pictures is prohibited but this was largely ignored by most people in there and we regret that we followed the rules and didn't take pictures ourselves. We didn't want to risk our lovely guide getting into trouble. The Basilica tour was fabulous, again very knowledgeable and then left us to explore for as long as we needed. Highly recommend this your, and Marta the guide. Was a very special afternoon, thank you.

We had a wonderful time with Marta ! She was kind and gave us the best history lesson we could ask for. The way she would explain everything was just so beautiful and made everything so much more enjoyable. Given the time we had went, with the Pope being elected the day before, she handled the business and changes very professionally. Would like to mention we arrived on the wrong day for our tour and the team helped us call a taxi, called our tour guide and got us to the collosuem in record time to ensure we didn’t miss our entry time - this was incredibly kind. Would 1000% recommend this team and their wonderful tours !

Our guided tour was presented by Marta who was simply wonderful. Marta took our group of 5 straight to the front of the line. We toured the Vatican garden, Vatican Museums & St. Peter’s Basilica. Marta’s knowledge was very extensive & she gave us a wonderful experience. The tour was something we will treasure forever!
