I purchased the ticket for skip the line without a guide and it was great. I definitely suggest going early in the morning if possible, but I will say the team should be a bit more organized so that we could have quicker entry. Otherwise, the skipped a line was definitely worth it because we only stood in line for less than 10 minutes and we're easily in the museum.
Firstly the meeting point that was on the Viator and Trip Adviser app was incorrect by about a 10min walk in 98 degree heat with high humidity. We then walked to the tour groups office Inside out Italy which advised us to go to their other meeting point office address another 10 mins walk which was also incorrect information. We then walked back to the Inside Out Italy office 10mins walk as we were not happy to try to get our money back, they immediately put us on a tour. Many people left the tour guide as she was leaving us standing in the hot sun in extreme heat with no shade while she was giving her talk. She should have keep walking and talking through the ear pieces that we were provided. She also was engaging in discussions with other people regarding the meaning of biscuit. She wasted so much time stopping the group from continuing walking through the museums that it became unbearable. We left the group after about 2 hours and we were only about a third the way through. We have been travelling Europe for about 2 months experiencing many tours in the extreme heat, but this was the worst.
Alex was our guide. He was the best most exceptional, knowledgeable, and personable guide we have ever had. Alex is worth more than 5 out of 5!! He provided easy to follow information!

The tour could have been great, but could barely understand the guide. He was very passionate, but not very easy to understand. He had a very thick accent.
Meeting point was easy to find and getting taken into the Vatican with no queue was great
Our Tour Guide Michael was the best so knowledgeable and he has the best sense of humor!!!! We had such a blast and we went with teenagers and they also enjoyed the tour guide I’m so happy I booked it with them honestly don’t doubt it it’s really a great choice

The tour was wonderful. Our guide was so knowledgeable. We learned so much about the Vatican. If you have a bad back or have a hard time walking, please know this is a long tour and it might be difficult for you
