Troodos is the largest mountain range in Cyprus. Located roughly in the center of the island, it is covered in forest and is often referred to as the Green Heart of Cyprus. On this tour we take "lesser" travelled roads into its lush flora, we enter quaint villages, meet locals, learn about their lifestyles and indulge in their produce; all the while on our way, we encounter a kaleidoscope of remnants of "days-gone-by" mythology, history, churches and architectures, all-in-all making this tour an all-round testimony of the true Eco-Identity of Cyprus

Two amazing days
We had the pleasure of spending two fantastic days exploring Cyprus with Andreas, and we honestly couldn't recommend him highly enough.
Before our first tour, I had quite a few questions, and Andreas was incredibly patient, helpful and reassuring in answering every one of them. From the moment we met him, it was clear we were in good hands. He was funny, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and always made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves.
Our first adventure took us through the stunning Troodos Mountains and was one of the highlights of our holiday. The itinerary was perfectly planned and gave us the chance to experience the real Cyprus. We visited an abandoned monastery, admired a beautiful waterfall, and even ventured off-road in the jeep, which the whole family loved. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a traditional trout farm before wandering through the picturesque village of Omodos with its charming streets and local shops. We also visited the excellent Linos Winery, where we learnt about the winemaking process and sampled some fantastic local wines. Every stop was unique and interesting, and Andreas shared fascinating stories and historical information throughout the day. By the end of the tour, we all had a different favourite stop, which says a lot about how varied and enjoyable the experience was. My personal favourite was the Linos Winery.
We enjoyed the first tour so much that we immediately booked a second personalised tour with Andreas to explore even more of the island, with plans to visit Lefkara, Nicosia and Larnaca.
Our day began in the beautiful mountain village of Lefkara, where we wandered through the charming streets and bought some freshly made traditional Cypriot delights. We then continued to Nicosia, where Andreas' knowledge really brought the city's fascinating history to life. We visited the impressive Venetian Walls, the oldest cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace before crossing the UN buffer zone into the Turkish-controlled side of the city. There we visited the largest mosque and explored the bustling bazaar, giving us the unique opportunity to experience both sides of the divided capital.
Unfortunately, the extreme heat became too much for two elderly members of our group, so we decided to cut our time in Nicosia short and skip our planned visit to Larnaca. Andreas couldn't have handled the situation better. He immediately adapted the itinerary and took us to some wonderful alternative locations, including a beautiful traditional bakery next to a Neolithic site, the stunning St George's Cliffs (the White Cliffs of Cyprus) and the breathtaking Rocks of Aphrodite. His flexibility, care and professionalism ensured the day remained enjoyable for everyone.
Across both tours, the vehicle was comfortable, spacious and exceptionally well air-conditioned, which made travelling in the summer heat much more enjoyable. Andreas' passion for Cyprus is infectious, and his knowledge of the island's history, culture and hidden gems made every stop memorable.
If you're visiting Cyprus and want to experience far more than the usual tourist attractions, book a tour with Andreas. Whether you're interested in history, culture, food, breathtaking scenery or simply seeing the authentic side of the island, he delivers an unforgettable experience.
Thank you, Andreas, for two incredible days that became one of the highlights of our holiday. We will definitely be booking with you again when we return to Cyprus.

Second Great Trip
Our second tour with Andreas was just as fantastic as the first. After enjoying the Troodos Mountains tour so much, we booked a personalised tour to visit Nicosia and Larnaca, and once again Andreas exceeded our expectations.
From the start, Andreas demonstrated excellent knowledge of Cyprus, its history and culture. He was informative, friendly and happy to answer any questions, making every stop interesting and enjoyable. The vehicle was comfortable, spacious and well air conditioned, which was very welcome in the summer heat.
Our first stop was the beautiful mountain village of Lefkara, where we wandered through its charming streets and bought some freshly made traditional Cypriot delights. It was a wonderful way to start the day and gave us a taste of authentic village life.
In Nicosia, we visited the impressive Venetian Walls, the oldest cathedral, and the Archbishop's Palace. One of the highlights was crossing the UN buffer zone into the Turkish controlled side of the city, where we saw the largest mosque and explored the bustling bazaar. It was a fascinating experience to experience both sides of the divided capital.

Andreas couldn't have handled the situation better. He quickly adapted the itinerary and took us to some wonderful alternative locations, including a beautiful traditional bakery next to a Neolithic site, the stunning St George's Cliffs (the White Cliffs of Cyprus), and the breathtaking Rocks of Aphrodite.
Although the day didn't go exactly as planned, Andreas' flexibility, thoughtfulness and local knowledge turned it into another amazing experience. He made sure everyone was comfortable while still giving us the opportunity to see some incredible places.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Andreas to anyone visiting Cyprus. His knowledge, professionalism and genuine passion for the island make his tours something special. We will definitely be booking with him again when we return to Cyprus in the future.

Amazing Trip
What an amazing day! We honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience exploring the Troodos Mountains.
A huge thank you to Andreas, who was the perfect tour guide. He was funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and always made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. Before the tour, I had quite a few questions, and he was so patient, helpful and reassuring in answering every one of them. It really set the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic day.
Every stop on the tour had something special to offer, and the information Andreas shared really helped us appreciate the history, culture and beauty of Cyprus. It was lovely that by the end of the day we all had a different favourite stop, which just shows how well thought out the tour is.
For me, the highlight was definitely the Linos Winery, but there honestly wasn't a stop we didn't enjoy. The whole day felt relaxed, welcoming and authentic, and it's given us memories we'll look back on for a long time.
We enjoyed the experience so much that we've already booked another personalised tour with Andreas to explore even more of this beautiful island. That probably says more than anything else about how much we enjoyed the day!
If you're visiting Cyprus and want to see the island beyond the beaches and resorts, we can't recommend this tour highly enough. Thank you, Andreas, for such a wonderful day, we can't wait for our next adventure with you!

Excellent tour of the Troodos mountains
5* trip with Andreas who is a warm, friendly, considerate and very knowledgeable guide.
He was concerned to find out what we were looking for in the day and tailoring the tour to ensure we had just the taste of beautiful Cyprus we wanted.
Very comfortable car as an alternative to using the jeep. Great driving. Perfect day!

Friendly, knowledgeable, patient
Incredible time with extremely friendly and knowledgeable guide seeing some beautiful sights in the Truodos mountains. We were a group that crossed generations from my 85 year old mother to my 16 year old daughter- but there was something for all of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

What a day!
What a day! We booked a full day tour with Andreas and loved every bit of it.
We toured numerous villages, monasteries, and points of interests throughout the day, all of which had their own unique charm and history. It was a really great experience driving through the idyllic Troodos mountain range and stopping at a Venetian bridge and waterfall trail.
Andreas was a really welcoming and entertaining tour guide who made us feel at home in Cyprus. He was extremely knowledgeable on a range of topics, including the islands geography, environment, Cypriot history, politics, culture, and so much more. We learned so much and had brilliant conversations throughout the trip. We were also thankful for the ice-cold water provided throughout out the day, and the pit stops at a cafe and a restaurant, which provided great food and drink (including traditional Cypriot coffee).
We really felt like we experienced the real Cyprus away from the typical tourist scene, and had a glimpse into the life and culture of the Cypriots.
This trip was an absolute highlight of our holiday. If you visit Cyprus you have to take this tour!

Private Jeep Tour: Wonderful Monastery & Troodos Mountains Tour
My daughter and I and I had a wonderful private jeep full-day tour with our guide Andreas. We visited beautiful old villages, drank coffee in local cafes, were totally inspired in The Church of the Holy Rope and end a super day with a visit to Troodos Mountains. We highly recommend Andreas. He is knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind and attentive. We hope to return

Very happy customers
Our Easyjet trip to the Troodos mountains was cancelled the day before we were due to go. The hotel reception staff were very helpful in recommending companies who could offer this type of excursion and they managed to arrange a trip for us the next day with EcoTours. Michael was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable about all things, including the type of non-poisonous snake we saw to the (happily non-poisonous) cherries we ate from the trees. The excursion involved a trip to the water damn, a monastery, small villages in the Troodos mountains and a stop off to try Cyprus Coffee. We then went off-road into the forrest where we saw a Venetian bridge and stopped at a waterfall where we swam. We went to a trout farm for lunch. We then spent some time at Omodos and stopped for wine tasting at Linos Winery. Finally, we stopped at Aphrodite's rock for another swim before returning to the hotel. The length of the excursion (09:00 - 18:00) was longer than advertised (6-8 hours) as Michael allowed us time at each stop and spent time with us explaining interesting things about Cyprus from politics to it's native species. I would highly recommend the trip as it provided a real insight into Cyprus and it was well worth the money we paid.
