The Basilica of St. Lawrence in one of Asheville’s most beautiful and beloved places of worship, but it is also home to a host of angry spirits… Learn about the tragic story of the architect who made it his life’s work to complete the Basilica and who continues his endeavors from beyond the grave.
The Battery Park Hotel is home to a spirit that wanders the hall in blood stained pajamas. A young woman was murdered in the dead of night during a storm in the 1930s.
As we stop by the historic Grove Arcade, one of Asheville’s most iconic landmarks. This grand building, with its ornate architecture and rich history, has been a central part of the city's life since it opened in 1929. But beneath its elegant exterior lies a story filled with mystery and intrigue.
As we pass the Flatiron Building, our guide will recount chilling tales of paranormal activity, including accounts of heavy footsteps and a wet, rattling cough echoing through the halls when no one is visible. Visitors have reported wandering through the building only to feel pursued by an unseen presence. Additionally, the spectral figure of a man has been spotted moving swiftly between floors, appearing in windows facing the street throughout the night.
Our next stop is the notorious Pritchard Park, the site of Asheville’s former post office. Here, a ghostly figure, a victim of a long-ago fire, is said to wander the grounds late into the night. The eerie presence of this spirit has become a chilling part of the park’s haunted reputation.
Next, we'll visit the base of the Legal Building, where our guide will recount the haunting story of a victim of the Great Depression. This tragic figure is said to haunt the area, leaving behind a spectral presence that lingers to this day.
