Valentin was great! So mild mannered and knowledgeable about Valencia and its history. Places he took us for tasting were perfect both in atmosphere and amount. Just an overall great experience with a great guy.

Stayed on Carrer Rafael de Comenge, a strategic and convenient point to the center. In the immediate vicinity, there is the possibility to eat at Radici with a daily menu. It is a small establishment run by an Italian girl, and we really enjoyed it; the staff is welcoming, where friendliness and warmth are the main features. The dishes are plentiful and of good quality. There are also seats outside.
Cesar gave us excellent insight into the tastes of Valencia, we would highly recommend him to anyone seeking out such an experience. The pace was perfect and his insights into the architecture and history of Ciutat Vella between stops was great.
Valentin was a great guide. He told us so much about the city’s history and also about its food culture. We had a wonderful time with great food. You can see he does it with passion. Would love to do it again!
Unfortunately, the tour with Luciana was not very satisfying. We were rushed through the market and didn't get to try anything there. Afterwards, we went to the nearest tapas bar and when we wanted to order something extra, we were refused. The tour ended 15 minutes early because she was already close to her apartment. We were two groups, and the other group had a great guide (Valentin) and was able to try much more. So, unfortunately, the price-performance ratio wasn't right for us. And she wasn't very friendly either.
Hi Lena, Thank you for sharing your feedback about the Valencia tour. We understand how pacing, tasting opportunities, and guide interaction can shape the overall experience, and we appreciate you letting us know your perspective. After checking in with the host, our understanding is that there were tastings included and that the flow of the tour was adapted to the group’s preferences on the day, with the finish time adjusted accordingly. We’ll review your comments with the host to ensure expectations around market time, tastings, and pacing are consistently clear and well balanced. Thank you again for the detailed note — it helps us keep improving. Kind regards, The Withlocals Team
Compared to other food tours I’ve done I was expecting to learn a lot more about the history and culture of Valencia. It didn’t feel as organized or as professional as my other experiences.

This was our third guided tour in Valencia and we learned a lot more! Mary was super prepared. The food tasting was good to very good.
Our private 3 hour food tour with our local guide, Valentín, was excellent. Valentín was passionate about the food in Valencia. We took in the Central Market with some tastings, followed by lunch at a lovely small restaurant and finished with Agua de València at a fun outdoor bar. Valentín also gave us recommendations for local bars and restaurants, at one of which we enjoyed delicious paella. A tour definitely worth doing!
Our guide, Valentin was great! He took us to his favorite places and got to sample lots of different foods. In total 4 stops, but got to spend a good amount of time in the market trying lots of great stuff!! We also stopped at a famous Horchata place, another market for tapas, and finished it off with a cocktail.
This was such a fun way to explore the city and have amazing food along the way. Highly recommend!!!
