Surf Lessons with Pro Team in Jacó

My son really enjoyed his surf lesson with his instructor John. John did a good job orienting my son and was very attentive throughout and got him on a ton of waves. Everyone I interacted with was great, including Nadine, the photographer and I found the photo package to be a very good deal as well. Would definitely come back. JW

My 5 kids aged 8-18 took their first surf lesson. They loved every minute - the staff kept them safe and had them all riding waves within minutes. Highly recommend! Also I he photos they take are worth every penny!

Great time for inexperienced surfers. Our instructor, John, was wonderful. Very informative, friendly, and knows his stuff about the waves. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Nadine the photographer was also lovely and got some fantastic shots of us.

This was a favorite Costa Rica afternoon for sure!!!! from the scheduling to the warm welcome to the dry land lesson and then in the surf --- it was ALL fantastic!!! the instructors could not have been nicer and more helpful and encouraging to our 4 children (ages 15-21) We all HIGHLY recommend Surfer Factory Surf School!!! It's a definite must do!!! Nadine on photography was so lovely and kind AND very talented at her craft; she truly added to the whole experience. The photos and video footage are amazing!!! SOOO happy we found this surf school!!!!!

Highlight of the holidays: the surflesson with the Jaco Pro Team. 1 on 1 instruction which was pure luxery. A special thanks to José who had so much patience! The photos and drone videos are a fantastic memory for a spectacular day.

We did this as a retreat experience and it was amazing! The whole team was wonderful and very helpful. Everyone had a blast. The pictures came out amazing! What a wonderful way for the ladies to remember their time in Costa Rica!

Our family of four booked a lesson with two instructors, and it was the perfect setup. While one of us caught a wave, the other instructor was already getting the next person into position, so there was very little downtime. The 1.5-hour lesson might sound short, but surfing is a surprisingly intense full-body workout. By the end, we were happily exhausted. My instructor, MJ, was fantastic. Positive, encouraging, and incredibly good at reading the waves, she offered just the right amount of coaching and technique adjustments while helping us conserve energy between rides. It was her mission was to get everyone standing—and she succeeded. All four of us were riding waves during our very first lesson. A tip for future beginners: spend a little time beforehand watching videos on the “pop-up” technique and maybe do a few planks or mountain climbers. You’ll get even more out of your lesson if those movements feel familiar, but don’t worry if you don’t, we all had success anyway. One unexpected highlight was the photography. We hadn’t planned on buying photos, but Nadine captured incredible images from the beach and even with a drone. The quality was so good that we happily bought the package, and those photos have become some of our favorite souvenirs. The only small improvement I’d suggest is sending a bit more arrival information beforehand. We weren’t sure where to park or what to expect, but they have secure parking, lockers, rash guards, and boards ready to go. Also, our lesson time shifted slightly closer to the date, which I assume was to match the best tide conditions. It was absolutely worth the flexibility. We’ve done a lot of amazing activities in Costa Rica, but this is the one I keep thinking about. Every time I remember that morning, I smile. I’d book with Surf Factory again in a heartbeat.

As beginners, we felt safe and had so much fun, thanks to our trainer "Jose". He was calm, patient, and a pro. Pura Vida!
