Your private driver will meet you at your central London address at 8am. This is the ideal time to leave as this will get you to Stonehenge just after opening time and before the large bus tours from London arrive. The journey to Stonehenge will take between 1.5 and 2 hours depending on departure time. As this is an independent visit and your driver will show where to collect your tickets and arrange a time and place to meet you at the end of your visit. This is an independent visit but the best way to visit Stonehenge is to stop at the visitor centre first where you will find all the information you need about Stonehenge. When you leave the visitor centre have a look around the recreated houses showing you how the builders of this monument lived. You have 2 choices to get to the stone circle. You can either take the shuttle bus or you can walk but be prepared as the walk is almost 2 miles. After your visit to the stone circle make your way back to the visitor centre where you will find a gift shop and cafe.

This is te best way to see sTONEHENGE

We originally went to Stonehenge with a tour and guide. The guide did absolutely NOTHING so why wast the money on one, You can see Stonehenge perfectly well on your own. Read the history about it first. You can also contact Stonehenge to go past the barriers into Stonehenge with some staff. Frankly the tour companies we dealt with in London were a rip off and you do better on your own and save money.We also found tour staff to be very rude.
