Be prepared to walk through some magnificent locations related to film, cinema and thr history of Harry Potter films.
We arrived around 2:15pm, for our timed entry of 2:30pm. We had walked over from the tower bridge quay, where we did the river boat tour. Upon entry we turned left, and overheard a worker telling someone about a 2:30pm Yeoman Warder tour. We continued on to the meetup point for the tour. That area anlso has the tower mint. A nice short visit. Our guide was Yeoman Warder Scott Kelly. He did a great job. I believe the tour was about an hour long. After the tour we visited several of the buildings, and we did see the Crown Jewels display. I think we ended up leaving moments before 5pm. It was fairly busy for the guided tour, then it really quoted down for the end of the day. I purchased our e-tickets online, several months in advance. All went well. We had a very nice visit.
Spend three hours on this tour and it was a great experience. There was a lot to see and we could have spent even more time there as I know there were things we missed. Great place to visit as a family. The only knock was that on a very warm day, there were longer line-ups to get into the Tower itself and into the Crown Jewel exhibit which took away from the experience of seeing everything during our visit. The Crown Jewels were one of the highlights. It was a very interesting exhibit and something to see. Spending the 45 minutes following one of the Beefeaters around was also very entertaining. There was some very interesting information provided in a very entertaining way. If looking for a much more detailed guide, this would;t be it, but we enjoyed this part of our visit. I would suggest this a must see visit when in London.
Amazing! Spent hours walking the grounds. Tour was hilarious. Kids 7 and 14 were surprisingly fully into it.
DO NOT BOOK With THIS PROVIDER. I am at The TOWER OF LONDON & the ticket WILL not let me IN. The date scanned says the 20th the ticket says the 19th. . There IS no ONE TO TALK TO resolve the issue. I TRAVELLED HOURS to get here. And now I am sitting outside.
This tour only provides the admission ticket. There is no guide or other assistance. You can get the same experience by just buying a ticket at the ticket booth and waiting on the same entry line as everyone else.
Our guide was very demonstrative as he presented the information & history of the Tower of London. Very enjoyable!
We visited the Tower of London with our tour group. As soon as we got in we went to see the Crown Jewels. We had no wait outside but as soon as we were done a large line had developed. After that we made sure to join a tour with the Yeoman Warders. It was very crowded and hard to hear at points but it was very informative and entertaining. We didn’t see everything but we had a great time.
Brilliant day out as a family!
Lots and lots of steps but worth it if you’re able to manage them. It’s a great day out if you love history.
