Itinerary

7 min

Welcome to Forepaugh’s Mansion in St. Paul, Minnesota, where opulence meets the supernatural. This grand estate, once the site of tragic events and profound loss, is now renowned for its eerie hauntings, with spectral whispers and ghostly apparitions reported in its lavish halls and shadowy corners.

7 min

Our next stop is a park steeped in dark history and ghostly lore. Cochran Park, established in 1926, was known for its eerie ambiance, particularly around the pool area, where the spirits of children are rumored to linger, their playful yet unsettling presence haunting the park’s shadows and echoes.

6 min

Our next stop is the Nathan Hale Park Statue, unveiled in 1907 by the Daughters of the American Revolution to honor the famed patriot, Nathan Hale. This statue is rumored to harbor a ghostly presence, with eerie whispers and spectral sightings adding an unsettling layer to its historical significance.

6 min

The Burbank-Livingston-Griggs House in Saint Paul, Minnesota, stands as the second oldest home on Summit Avenue, constructed in 1863 with exquisite Italianate design. This historic mansion is famous for its haunting activity, with accounts of eerie noises and ghostly apparitions lingering in its grand, aged rooms.

7 min

Our next stop serves as a grim marker of St. Paul’s shadowy past. The Madame Clifford Statue, a peculiar monument which commemorates the influential figure Nina Clifford. This statue is reputed to be linked to ghostly phenomena, with sightings of a female apparition dressed in 1920s attire reportedly roaming the area, adding an unsettling air to the statue's already intriguing presence.

6 min

poor communication, half of scheduled homes toured

when i called to make sure our tour was starting at 302 summit ave, i was told that was correct and the tour guide would be there 15 minutes before the 8pm tour and would be holding a lantern. no one showed up at that address at 745 pm. my husband and i walked up to the door, knocked and was greeted by the owner who stated "this happens every day" and there is no indoor tour. at that time, we noticed a figure across the street. when we approached, we then learned that was our guide. the lantern was about 6 inches high. very disappointed in the poor communication by the company. our guide was very nice but talked too much about each place and left out half the homes on the tour schedule. the last place we toured was the burbank livingston griggs museum. there were still four more addresses left. very disappointed.

Recommend this experience

Fun experience learning about ghost stories and historical stories about the houses and neighborhood. Patty was our guide and was super knowledgeable and entertaining! I’d recommend not planning anything after the tour as the tour can run long and you don’t want to be rushed. We enjoyed the tour though and recommend to others!

Mildly entertaining

We enjoyed seeing all the beautiful houses. Very friendly and knowledgeable guide. The stories were interesting, but overall a little underwhelming.

Great tour guide

I had a great time. I really hate how this system hounds you to review stuff with minimum content so they are getting my opinion. The tour guide is great, went above and beyond in a rainstorm to keep me entertained. But this app, viator sucks. It just relentlessly messages you to review when they already have tons of reviews. They say it will only take a minute but they lie. They do not reward you for a task that inly benefits them. I’m sick of it and will think twice about using viator again. I hate being guilted into endless reviews.

Operator response

Thank you for sticking with the review and for sharing such thoughtful feedback, Catherine. We're so happy to know your guide made the experience worthwhile despite the rain, and we'll be sure to recognize them for their excellent work. We understand your concerns about the review reminders from the booking platform. Although those messages aren't sent by our team, we truly appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your experience. Hope to see you again soon!

Not worth your time

I’m a veteran of ghost tours and this one was not good at all. Many of the stories had nothing to do with the buildings or even Minnesota. Instead I heard about the Salem witch trials. The guide was nice but not a very good storyteller. Overall , I would not recommend this
