It is fun to look at the crypts and see how old everything is. My ancestors are buried there and I visit everything I am in NOLA.
Our tour guide, Dana, was personable, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. She brought the cemetery to life with fascinating stories that blended its history with the rich history of New Orleans. Her perfect mix of humor, storytelling, and historical insight made the tour both educational and thoroughly enjoyable.
Our tour guide was amazing. It was so hot, but the stories she told, and the information she shared kept me distracted from the heat. She also had great recommendations for things to do around town.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Dana. She is incredibly knowledgeable and provided a lot of history about the graves, which was fascinating. Dana was in contact with us prior to the tour about where to meet, offered us water and answered all our questions. We highly recommend booking a tour with Save Our Cemeteries if you're planning to visit New Orleans!
Melissa was a great guide who answered all my questions from the start. She took the time to take me and my colleague on a tour even in the rain. She was very understanding as well and let me rest when my knee began to hurt. Overall, Melissa is an amazing guide who is well versed and a kind person. I’d love to go on another tour with her!
We took a 75 minute tour with Ms. Melissa Hall, at the St. Louis Cemetery No. 3. It was me and my coworker. Melissa gave us time of her day to give us a tour during a crazy storm and still performed exceptional as she brought us to every tomb apart of the tour and explained each very well while being soaked.Sooner or later, I hope we get another tour with Melissa. Thank you again.
Reasonably priced and very thorough. Our guide Dana was great even had some photos to add context to some of the history. Tour takes 90 minutes. Something uniquely New Orleans.
We scheduled our New Orleans cemetery tour at Cemetery 1 because these folks were with Save Our Cemeteries. And we were so glad we did. Our guide Dana was engaging, so informative, and told lots of stories to our group of three. But mostly she was passionate about the New Orleans Cemetery 1. This place had a history and workmanship and family lore that was worthy of being honored. And she shared that with us. We left the tour more knowledgeable but also very touched. She was an excellent guide.
An amazing tour with the knowledgeable Russell. High recommend!!
