Our guide was Dave and he had lots of stops on the tour to give us the history of the area. He also had some personal stories and ideas of where we should visit after the tour. I felt it was good value for the money.
So glad it felt like great value. Hope his recommendations led you somewhere good!
Very good tour by Sam, in addition to being interesting and attentive, she sings a few songs from the Newfoundland repertoire with a beautiful voice!
Sam was the absolutely best tour guide for St. John’s. She was so informative and gave us so much information. I highly recommend her to tour with you.
High praise indeed. Thanks so much for recommending her and for sharing this with us!
David was an amazing guide! What a fantastic tour. We had a lively time with hin as we explored St. John's and David provided the narration. We learned so much about the history and cultural life of the city, and we appreciated that he wasn't afraid to talk about the difficult parts of history. Would absolutely take this tour again
We really do believe the full story of St. John's deserves to be told. So glad it resonated with you and that you'd come back for more. Thanks for this wonderful review!
Isaac was informative, personal and professional. He had an excellent knowledge of St. John's and it's history. The pace was appropriate for the group. Would recommend as a good overview of this beautiful city!
Thanks for the lovely review.
David was fantastic. He was funny, animated and really knows his St. John's and Newfoundland history. One of the best walking tours we have taken.
Funny, animated and packed with local knowledge - that's David at his best! Thanks so much for taking a walk with us.
Samantha was an excellent walking tour host! The areas we explored were meaningful, informative & beautiful! She made the City of St. John’s come alive! An added joy to the tour was Sam singing to us songs of the loving Newfoundlander way!
Sam has such a gift for bringing St. John's to life. So glad she added that extra special touch to your tour.
David was a great tour guide! Very knowledgeable and passionate about history. I appreciated the discussion and acknowledgement of the Indigenous peoples of Newfoundland.
Thanks for the lovely review. So glad David's passion for the full history of this place came through.
Just finished a fabulous tour with David who is a native of St. John’s. Very interesting history delivered with passion and humor. We cannot recommend this tour enough!
So glad David made St. John's history come alive for you. Thanks so much for the glowing recommendation, it means a lot.
Absolutely loved Tyra a.k.a. “Tyler or T”, on this walk. She was knowledgeable and passionate about everything she told us - from being a ‘townie’ or ‘come from away’, downtown culture, NL sayings and sense of humour, important buildings, jelly bean row, important people, musicians and politics. We felt she was so generous to us with her kindness, time and knowledge. Recommendations: good shoes as 2.5 hours even though relatively short walking distance, feet can be tired. Water. Tyra was very mindful of our needs during the tour re walking, stairs, shade, etc. Thanks for a job well done Tyra!
What a thoughtful, detailed review! Tyra really does pour her heart into every tour, and it sounds like it came through. Thanks so much for this lovely write-up.
