Learn about the consequences of WW1 leading to the outbreak of WW2. Treaty of Versailles and the fall of 3 major power players, the creation of 9 new nations including Poland, Austria, and Czechoslovakia. A period of runaway inflation and the Great Depression and serious economic problems in Europe. Rise of nationalism throughout the continent. Rise of Hitler's popularity
Learn about the Sudeten Deutsche Party, The Munich Agreement and the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia
Enjoy the view of a Gothic church and a dominant feature of the Old Town. It has been the main church of this part of the city since the 14th century.
See the wing of the Old Town Hall destroyed during the Prague Uprising in 1945. Hear about what every-day life was like during the occupation, and the May uprising that led to the victory and the end of war on May 8th.
You will hear about the 17th of November 1939 - the execution of Czech students, closure of Czech universities, and the situation in the Czech lands during the tenure of Konstantin von Neurath - when the country became part of the Third Reich. Appointment of Reinhard Heydrich to the position on September 27, 1941, which became a turning point in the history of the Protectorate
Hear about what preceded the Anthropoid Operation, about the exiled government in London, Operation Benjamin, Silver A and Silver B. See the building with the apartment of Josef and Marie Svatoš. This house played a key role in many stories of the war, as it was one of the main resistance hideouts
Learn about the "assasination" of Heydrich. This Baťa Department Store was used to exhibit the objects found at the scene of the assassination
Learn the tragic story of the village Lidice where on June 10, 1942 around ten o'clock in the morning all men were executed and all women taken to concentration camps. Lidice ceased to exist.

Petschek Palace, a Gestapo Headquarters where Czechoslovaks were interrogated, tortured and killed in thousands. On June 16th, 1942 Karel Čurda is entering this building and betraying his comrades - turning point in the search of Heydrich´s "assasins".
One of the most impressive buildings in Prague. The National Museum houses nearly 14 million items from the areas of natural history, history, arts, music and librarianship, which are located in dozens of museum buildings.
Pass by one of the central streets in Prague New Town and hear about two covert, unfortunately unsuccessful operations: Tin a Bioscop
Learn about the bombing of Prague in 1945.
Visit to the Cathedral with guide.
Visit the memorial, and the crypt where the Czech paratroopers paid the ultimate price. End ot the tour.

Our Guide Dan was a lovely young man and very informative, we really learned a lot and got to see some historical land marks that we would not have encountered otherwise.
