Good and interesting, but a bit slow.

Lots of interesting info, but it was a little slower than expected. Lots of standing or sitting around listening and looking at pictures. Also went 3 hours and I expected 2, and 2 would've been more appropriate as well. But the tour guide was very knowledgeable and you could tell he was passionate about it as well, as a local who has been effected by this history.

Mixed feelings

I have mixed feelings about this tour but it is primarily due to the guide I had I think. She was hard to understand and I couldn’t decide if she was passionate or angry about the subject matter. Seeing the crypt where the resistance fighters had their last stand and learning about their story was really interesting. I would have enjoyed it more with a different guide.

Enjoy the experience

One of the best tours we have ever taken. Otokar, our guide, was impressive. He knew a lot about the subject and enjoyed sharing it with us, a 10!

Worthwhile for historical background

Until the crypt there is not much to see. A few plaques and gold stars on sidewalk. So it is the narrative of the guide that makes this worthwhile. She did a phenomenal job. We also the tavern rest break with pictures and a beer.

5 Stars to WWII Prague Tour and Crypt of Operation Anthropoid

This was my husband's favourite walking tour in Prague because he is very interested in WWII history. Our guide was just brilliant as he totally brought to life what happened and when. He was able to show us documents and photos and also a gun from that period of time. We visited 2 underground places used by the Germans for various purposes - one was a torture chamber. We also visited the Crypt of Operation Anthropoid where the lives of a number of soldiers ended. We were told the full story in great detail. We learnt about the resistance movement and their radio stations and saw where one was located and how the Germans were able to detect where the radio stations were located. Our guide was also a teacher which is why he knew his subject matter so well and was compelling to listen to. Brilliant.

Highly recommended

Excellent and informative tour. The guide was brilliant. She gave lots of fascinating little details and a real Czech perspective of living under Nazi and Communist rule. The church and crypt were very moving.

Excellent Tour & Guide - Memorable Experience

Hanna our guide was amazing her knowledge & passion about the history of Prague & the Operation Anthropoid made the tour so memorable. When we took a break she made a point of going around the whole group sharing her knowledge & including everyone in seeing the history pieces that she had gathered. I would highly recommend this tour. Emma & Family - Ireland 🇮🇪
