Bad experience
Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The canoe tour was advertised as lasting 2.5 hours, but our tour lasted closer to 2 hours, which was disappointing considering the price and what was advertised. I also found some of the staff’s instructions difficult to follow. At times, I couldn’t hear them properly, and some of the directions were not communicated clearly enough, which made parts of the experience confusing and less enjoyable. I appreciate that outdoor activities can sometimes be affected by circumstances on the day, but I feel the staff could have been more helpful and clearer with their communication and instructions. Overall, I was expecting a more enjoyable and well-organised experience based on the description of the activity, so unfortunately I left feeling disappointed.

Hi George, Thanks for your review. It really helps others decide whether or not to join us on a tour. While we advertise the tour as 2.5 hours that all depends on canal traffic and I can tell by your photos the canal was super empty and peaceful on the day of your visit. The 2.5 hours does include travel time. We are sorry too hear that our guide didn't pass on directions clearly and will endeavour to do more staff training to ensure this isn't a thing going forward. All our guides are trained to deliver a well organised experience for all and I apologise that we fell short in this instance.

Because I was going a longer distance by canoe than I imagined, I forgot to hydrate...
I was able to experience a wonderful aerial canoe that will be a memory for a lifetime. Thank you very much. Since you will be canoeing a longer distance than you imagined, I think it's good to remember to stay hydrated. It is more comfortable to have non-slip gloves to hold onto the bank of the waterway when passing narrowboats or other canoes.

I've canoed before, but...
I've canoed before, but not tandem so was a learning curve! Our instructor Nieve was amazing, really informative and gave me good pointers for tandem paddling. Absolutely loved the experience, it's very high, but they way they do it, you don't notice, just appreciate the amazing views! Get to Llangollen early though, as parking is a nightmare!

Amazing relaxing and breath-taking experience!
Recently did the canoeing activity on the Pontcysyllte aqueduct. Our instructors Rory and Andy were absolutely amazing and ensured we felt comfortable at all times. Shout-out to Nathan as well, for the drive to and from! All in all, it was an absolutely amazing day out and experience and I highly recommend!

Amazing, relaxing experience!

First Class Experience

Canoeing the aqueduct
Small group, Emily was welcoming, friendly and informative. Being the oldest in the group, we were slower than the youngsters but she made sure they waited for us! Would highly recommend! Top tip: if you stay at the Riverbanc, you get a discount off the activities.

Great experience
It’s great fun and the views are spectacular. Nice staff and relaxed and friendly. Only negative is having to wait for the slowest members of the group.
