Pontcysyllte Aqueduct Canoe Tours in Llangollen

Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our tour around and on the aqueduct. We were guided by Ollie, who was very friendly and supportive. He kept the tour very entertaining for us as it was just us (not a private one we were the only ones booked in at the time) and he also gave us good recommendations and information about the local area and chances to take photos whilst we were canoeing and whilst on the aqueduct as well. We felt safe throughout and had a blast thank you!

Great trip for a family of 13 ranging in age from 80 - 14!! The two guides, Sol and Hugh, were excellent, really helpful and knowledgeable, and no-one got wet! The aquaduct and views were defintely worth it.

Flynn was an excellent guide for our experience. A clear, calming influence over any nervous participants but keeping it light hearted, fun, interesting and comfortable. The weather was great with just a touch of wind to keep us on our toes but not difficult under Flynn’s instruction. The aqueduct itself is pretty impressive, definitely worth the trip and would do again especially with the Bearded Men Adventures. Only tiny downside was on a good weather Saturday it was busy waiting to go over the aqueduct and the ability of others in the group altered the flow but not so much it distracted from the experience. The trip was 2hrs on the water and it was just the right length to get great value for money. Following the instructions on the email sent before the day it was simple to find the parking spot. I can’t wait to book more experiences with this great team.

We had an amazing time paddling through Llangollen and over the aqueduct. It was peaceful, beautiful and the Welsh weather remained dry - always a bonus! Our wonderful guide Tom, put all at ease with simple instructions on how to steer - not as intuitive as you first think, and talking through the history of the canal and the aquaduct. Highly recommended.

This was a gift experience bought for us. Glad we didn't pay for this ourselves. It's not really canoeing when you have about 10 mins of actual canoeing. The rest of the time you're either waiting in traffic because there are so many other tour canoe companies doing the same thing and so many barges. In the busy sections you're told to drag yourself using the bank rather than paddle. I was honestly jealous of people just walking and I found it quite embarrassing. The aquadicy is beautiful but walking it would be better as you can spend time enjoying it. This was more of a race the get across as you were told to keep moving. I don't know how much it was but I can guarantee it's not worth it.

Considering myself and my partner had never canoed before it was honestly such a fun day! Jo was our guide and he was patient, informative and so funny. The tour lasted around 2 and a half hours. I would definitely reccomend as seeing the aqueduct itself was amazing.

Dont normally do a review but this trip out was amazing highly recommended and our tour guide Joe made it even better as was so funny and full of life. Mark and walt from Nottingham 👍

Excellent trip, well run, good kit, fantastic staff. Ideal for absolute beginners, or those with some previous experience in a canoe. The activity was just the right length in duration and takes in some awesome scenery. The booking process and communication was all straightforward and covered everything that we needed to know. We would definitely book another trip with this company, the white water rafting sounds amazing!
