Sky Lagoon Spa Experience with Private Transfer from Reykjavík

Don’t wait until the day before you leave to experience this… so you can plan a second trip… as soon as we entered the lagoon, it was heaven on earth… So relaxing… so clean… everything was run / maintained well with no lack of staff to assist. My only thing I missed with the ride / time booked is that we booked for 5pm and understood that’s when we would be picked up from our hotel… luckily it was only a 15-20 min ride.. When you book with a private transfer, make sure you understand the pickup time and that the time you book is for when you should be at the Sky Lagoon. There’s a swim up bar too, so plan accordingly so you can relax with a drink.. alcohol or non. We’ll be back!

My 21 year-old daughter I enjoyed several hours of hanging out in the lagoon and taking the cold plunge not once but three times! It felt wonderful and so did the seven step ritual which we completed. Highly recommend if you’ve never done something like this before, but I don’t know if I would pay to go back again unless I was bringing new people. Our tour drivers were right on time very cordial.

We really enjoyed this experience. We planned it half way through the week we spent in Reykjavik and it was amazing! You could organise directly with the driver on the day as to when you’d like picking up but we found that 10;30-14:00 was plenty of time to relax and do the 7 step ritual. It is incredibly clean everywhere and the staff are lovely and welcoming. My favourite step was the clod mist room but all of it was just breathtaking! I’ve never had a spa experience like it!! I liked that they encourage you to unplug from your phone (hence no photos with the review) because it was so peaceful. You could do everything at your own pace and stay in each stage as long as you like.

It was last minute booking that ended with a last minute minor schedule change with some miscommunications that almost ended with not experiencing the 7-Step Sky Lagoon. I give high remarks to the transport department. They confirmed and on time. Our driver was very polite and friendly. I worked and with Jo at Marina Travel to sort and confirmed the schedule change. Overall, it was a great experience on our last night tour in Iceland. My husband and I were very grateful. He can’t wait to return during the summer. I highly recommend the 7-step ritual.

Very unique experience with nice facilities and spectacular view. Private shower and changing room. Two hours seemed like perfect amount of time, but you can stay longer. Strongly suggest bringing water shoes otr flip flops as all surfaces between lagoon, sauna, steam room are extremely slippery!

Great spa very close to Reykjavík. We chose to get a taxi ourselves. Was around £20 each way. The spa itself was spacious and not over crowded. The rituals was ok. Enjoyed the sauna and cold dip. It was extremely foggy when we attended. You could not see anything of the surrounding views but it added to the enjoyment. We went in the evening. Worth going if you are in Iceland

Spent a wonderful day at the lagoon. The seven step cleansing process was fantastic. The pool was crystal clear and very toasty. The staff was very helpful and courteous I would recommend the sky lagoon for a quaint & recording day of relaxation.

This is one of the coolest places I’ve ever been. The hot springs are clean and clear. The views are amazing. Everything is just perfect. Don’t miss this truly special experience if you are in Iceland. You start off just floating around in the pools of beautiful hot water, enjoying cocktails and a spectacular view. Then you move into the spa treatment which consists of a cold plunge, a sauna with the most incredible view of the ocean through a giant glass window that is so clean you can hardly tell that it is there! A cool mist to cool down then a salt scrub and steam. You leave feeling refreshed relaxed and revitalized!

It was a great experience, from beginning to end. The drive to the Sky Lagoon was easy and quick. The Lagoon itself was fabulous. They have thought of everything. We enjoyed the lagoon as well as the 7 step ritual. The only thing you need is your swimsuit and a credit card. They have lockers, towels etc. and you get a wristband so you can leave everything in your locker. Most people had their phones with them we used a waterproof device holder, as did many others. It made taking pictures harder sometimes but was worth it (they also sell them). Two hours was enough for us although I would love to go back. I had wondered if I’d be so relaxed I would not want to go to look around in Reykjavík, but it was actually energizing, so don’t worry about that. We had planned on going late afternoon but our ship had bad weather and cancelled our tour so we booked this tour last minute and 9 am was a great time. The cafe looked nice and there is a small gift shop. We could have enjoyed the cafe but were anxious to see Reykjavík.

Visited here on 09.13.2025 for fun and relaxation. Although there are several hot spring type spas around Reykjavik, and I've visited the most famous other one, this one is at the top of my list. The location is not far from the city center like the other one, but we took a cab to get here because it's easy. The place has a calm aura upon arrival. The staff was friendly and easily accessible for questions. We did the private dressing rooms with the 7 step ritual. First, you go into the hot spring to begin your journey after getting dressed into your bathing attire. Then you exit to the spa ritual experience, which moves you through the sauna, salt scrub, steam rooms, showers, and ends with a nice refreshing tea shot. Then you can head back into the hot spring for more relaxing. They have a bar there that offers a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Fyi, the alcohol has a 3 drink max, which I assume is for your safety. I chose a non-alcohol based drink, and it was delicious nonetheless. Also, the dressing rooms and shower areas are nice and clean. Afterward, you can stop and have a bite to eat or drink in the cafe and there is a small gist shop. Checking out was easy and conveniently self-service. I would definitely recommend visiting here if in Reykjavik, but just know weekends will likely be busier days, and it's recommended to make the reservation online.
