Singalila Ridge trek.
Nice views on trek. Trail was busted up and half washed away in parts. Guide was exceptional.
Company insistent on getting deposit prior to arranging trek. Our first deposit of $400 Australian Dollars got 'lost'. Our Australian bank investigation said there was nothing ambiguous or unclear re the Account details.
The 2nd bank transfer was successful. Didn't get our money back! Ashmita want Australians but I think their insistence on a bank transfer is harsh. Once the money leaves Australia you have no chance of getting it back. I wonder if this is a common problem.
They seemed to organize the trek very quickly, and I suspect the guide does all the arrangements after he picks you up.
Nice to have visited Darjeeling but I will return to Nepal next year where deposits are not necessary.
