Rema picked us up at the hotel on time. On the drive to tetebatu he told us a lot of interesting things about life on Lombok. He knows everything very well. Once there we were greeted warmly and the guide for the hike through the rice fields was already waiting. He told a lot of interesting facts about the shrubs, trees and plants along the way in perfect English. We enjoyed the refreshing swim at the waterfall very much and in the forest we soon found the first black monkeys. Back in the warung monkey forest there was a fine gadogado and the possibility of buying the home-produced spices like cinnamon pepper or vanilla. It was a very nice day even if the round trip took about two hours each. We would do it again.
We had the best time. One of our favourite days of the trip. We had Aan as our driver and he could not have been more accommodating. Yusef was our local guide - he had so much knowledge about the local area and community and answered our many questions. You should definitely do this tour!
Aan was a great driver and Andi was a great guide in Tete Batu. We had a realy nice day and a lot of fun. The paths in Tete Batu where little bit mudy, due to rain the night before. The waterfall is nothing super special but on the way from Rice terrasses to monkeys anyway.
Rema drove us to Tetebatu for the ricefield, waterfall and Monkey Forest tour. We had a great time with him, and also with the local guide Sik. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. I really recommend this tour as the nature is beautiful. We also saw the black monkeys in the forest. This really is a must do!
Rema is a very friendly guide. He is easily accessible, pays close attention to whether you are still having a good time, and tells a lot along the way. The tetebatu tour gives you a good impression of the local life in Lombok. It is a bit less polished than other locations and with fewer tourists. I really liked that!
