See the amazing pink waters of the Salt Mine, view the thousands of waders in the Ramsar Wetland, Flamingos, Pelicans and all the species, view Seals and Jackals whilst driving on the Beach and then onto the towering Dunes. Coaching and sharing experiences with the Guide. No chances are taken and driver compatible routes are chosen to optimize SAFETY, but you will surely take home the thrill and the stunning views and create unforgettable memories!
Our tour guide will pick you up at your accommodation, after pick up you will then head to the lagoon in Walvis Bay where you will see the pink flamingos. From the flamingos we drive out of Walvis Bay on to the sandy shores heading to Sandwich Harbor. Our tour guide will be driving in front of you and will be communicating through a radio on where you should drive and what you should do for the safety of everyone. You will drive between the dunes and the ocean into Sandwich Harbor, our guide will give you an experience driving in the dunes and experiencing the thrill of driving in the dunes. After all the fun you will find a nice quite spot to have a light lunch and enjoy the beauty of Sandwich Harbor. Before heading back to the sandy shores you will have a game drive where you will look for animals such as the oryx, springbuck and much more. There after we head back on the sandy shores to your accommodation where the tour will then end.

We joined a guided self-drive tour to Sandwich Harbour and rented our 4x4 directly from the company. Our guide drove ahead of us and communicated with us by radio throughout the entire journey. Along the way, we discovered Walvis Bay, the salt pans, the flamingos and other beautiful sights before finally reaching Sandwich Harbour. We drove along the iconic route between the ocean and the towering dunes, and then experienced the thrill of driving up and down the dunes ourselves. Our guide, Riaan, made the whole day truly unforgettable. At first, we were a little nervous about driving on the sand and dunes, but thanks to his clear and precise instructions, we quickly gained confidence and managed to drive independently without any problems. He explained everything in detail, communicated clearly at every stage and, most importantly, made the experience incredibly fun. It was quite a long day, but Riaan’s energy and sense of humour made the time fly by. The scenery was breathtaking and the entire experience was exciting from beginning to end. We did the self drive with small kids in the car and would totally recommend it. Our guide, Winton was professional and we felt very well taken care of. We were following him in our car, which allowed us to really feel the road, the sand and 4X4 driving. We did several stops at the scenic viewpoints, saw wild animals and kids loved jumping into the sand! Finger food lunch and drinks were perfect in a great place away from the flies:) All in all, great job Winton and the team! Thank you:)

We were on halfday self drive to Sandwich with Riaan. Sadly we experienced problems with our vehicle. Riaan assisted us all the way. Even came with Johnny at night to assist with tyre. Escorted us all the way to Swakopmund. Cannot thank them enough.

We did half a day in 4x4 on the dunes. It was a wonderful experience, Dennis our guide was kind and proved expert on every occasion choosing the highest dunes and making us have fun with steep descents, always in great safety. The aperitif at midday with dunes and ocean views was top!!!!
