After meeting in Swakopmund we drive to Walvisbay, where we meet 1/2 hour later our Walvisbay Guests. Then past the Salt Mine onto the beach, to the Dune belt at Sandwich harbor, where Sea meets Dune, and up the towering Dunes, for some really adrenaline creating moments and stunning views. Down many steep slip faces and up many tall dunes along a really exciting dune drive. You follow our guide with your car and are helped along in any situation by our guide. We guide on route help with driving techniques, communicating via Radio. Please insure your car is adequately insured and have car rental company permission to enter Sandwich. After the dune drive we go back to Walvisbay inflate tyres and back to your accommodation. Its an awesome experience.

The tour really starts at the Walvis Bay Esplanade. Here we view the Flamingos and air down our tyres. We exchange experience and learn about each others vehicle. We then go past the Pink salt lakes of the Salt Mine onto the beach and to the towering Dunes. We do the same route as our Sandwich Harbor Dune drive.

A very special day!
The tour with the off-road vehicle was a complete success. Action, great landscapes, and many animals of the Namib. Just like the final picnic on a dune, they made the day an unforgettable experience. Our tour guide Riaan was able to give us a lot of information about the landscape and the region. It was incredibly fun to spend the day with him.

Awesome experience
We took the self drive option using the company’s car, as our hire car excluded driving on the dunes. Car was in good condition and well up to driving up the dunes. Our guide Riann was in a car in front giving clear calm directions over the radio when necessary. Plenty of stops for photos and light lunch. Dune driving was great as was the drive next to the sea up to Sandwich Harbour. If you’re not a confident driver then I’d stick with the standard tour but if you can follow instructions and maybe have a little off road experience I’d go self drive all the way.

4x4 in the Dunes
We had a superb excursion with Gerhard! He made our trip even more incredible by sharing a lot of information about his country with us. Very kind, passionate, and attentive, he gave us an incredible and unforgettable time in a 4x4 in the dunes, with a great picnic on top of that. An experience that we recommend 100%!

Incredible tour to the Dunes

Rian made it epic — best tour in Walvis Bay!
Driving between the dunes and the ocean to reach Sandwich Harbour is absolutely stunning, and the way back over the dunes is just as thrilling — pure adrenaline!
Rian is a fantastic guide: fun, knowledgeable, and just the right amount of crazy behind the wheel, which made the whole trip even better. A true character and a great guy. I'd do it again without hesitation. Highly recommended!

Amazing

Fun tour to Sandwich Harbour with Winton
The trip to Sandwich Harbour is only possible with a guide. So if you want to go there, you need a driver/guide. For us, it was Winton, and he did a great job - we had a lot of fun!
