I have personally been touring this enchanting area for over 10 years now. The beauty of a Cotswolds private driving tour is the freedom and flexibility that it gives you on the day. This tour has a set itinerary where I have a recommended route. Here I have combined idyllic hidden villages with the more famous Cotswold towns. This gives you a wonderful overview and experience of what the Cotswolds is all about. You get to see the postcode locations as well as escape the tourist trail and discover hidden gems that only us locals know about.
As it is a private tour I am totally flexible as to how long you would like in each place, and are more than happy to adapt the itinerary on the day if you would like.
If you want more hidden villages, more market towns or natural beauty then your wish is my command!

A truly hidden gem. A fairy-tale village of thatched cottages and beautiful landscapes that is away from the tourists. The home of several famous characters and was to be the future home of royalty.
Stow-on-the-Wold
60 min
Steeped in history and built by the Normans. The centre of the wool trade in the Cotswolds. Here you'll have time to browse among honey-coloured buildings, cosy pubs, narrow streets, interesting shops and tiny tea rooms. Also known for its antiques.
Lower Slaughter
30 min
Voted England's most romantic village and set in the most amazing countryside. With a charming river flowing through a 1000 year old flour mill. Still in operation today! Larger vehicles are not allowed into this village.
Bourton-on-the-Water

Known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' there is plenty to see and do with a wealth of attractions, shops, restaurants and tea rooms. Here you have free time to explore and enjoy some lunch.
Burford

Burford’s famous High Street sweeps downhill towards the River Windrush, with an unbroken line of ancient houses and shops, as well as a medieval bridge and an impressive 900 year old church.

Traveling along the stunning Windrush Valley visiting hidden villages including Swinbrook. One of the most secluded villages and home of the notorious Mitford Sisters.
Minster Lovell Hall & Dovecote

A real highlight of the tour which boasts plenty of Cotswold stone and thatched roofs, as well as holding the title of being the region's most haunted village. Minster Lovell is perhaps best known for the ruins of its 15th century hall, owned by generations of the Lovell family. A true hidden gem!

A cheaper and faster way would be to take the train from London Paddington to Oxford station or London Marylebone to Oxford Parkway station. These take between 50-60 min train ride and are direct.

Private tour of the Cotswolds out of Oxford
In mid-September, we (four Canadians) had a private tour of the Cotswolds with Graham. He took us about in a very comfortable van, lots of space, and we took turns rotating through the various seats. He was so friendly and knowledgeable, we really learned a lot. We really enjoyed his company, loved the little villages he took us to (Great Tew, Stow-on-the-Wold, the Slaughters, Burford for a great lunch at the Cotswolds Arms), Swinbrook and Minster Lovell. He really helped us build some amazing memories and take some fabulous photos. Graham provided a lot of stories and information on this beautiful countryside. I highly recommend Graham for his tours of the Cotswolds!

My husband, daughter, and...
My husband, daughter, and I loved our day touring the Cotswolds. Graham picked us up from the Oxford station and drove us to several villages. We saw quaint cottages, examples of the "wool churches," and beautiful countryside. We enjoyed window shopping and having lunch at a charming pub along the river. We learned so much about the area from Graham. I would highly recommend this experience!

Wonderful day in the Cotswolds
Graham was fantastic from the moment we met at Heathrow. He was meticulous with his organization, which made it a streamlined service from start to finish. We went on to have a wonderful day exploring more secluded parts of the Cotswolds. My wife and I could see why it is such an enchanting place to visit.
Graham was also an exception driver and conversationalist. We felt like we had really made a new friend on that day. 100% recommend.
