Caglar is a wonderful person and an even better guide around Cotswold. We had a wonderful and a memorable tour. He's been very kind to drop us at our hotel and he's the man if you want a private tour of Cotswold.
Calger was very flexible with our schedule. E was knowledgeable, friendly and a great driver!!! We stopped for Sunday roast at the old New Inn because Kingsbridge did not offer a Sunday roast till 5 PM. We were pleasantly surprised as the roast was fantastic.!!!
The driver was very communicative. He knew what was in the little towns (which makes sense!) The ride was comfortable for our family of three, and we were able to see some of the smaller villages. We appreciated the trip as a whole.
Excellent trip. Saw several Cotswolds towns. Only drawback was the vehicle wasn't comfortable for a driver and 4 passengers. Guide was helpful, and knowledgeable.
It was more like a Uber around the region rather than a tour. We visited some highlights throughout each area but there wasn’t much beyond what you could find on your own over the internet. You stop at each location for 20-40 minutes, then you get shown 1 or 2 places, get told some information being wrong and then walk around on your own. I was expecting so much more especially for the cost ($600). I was DISAPPOINTED in VIATOR, I would think they would vet their drivers more and ensure that their tour operators were very well informed about the region. I really felt like I had waisted my money and thought about asking Viator for a partial refund. I would NOT recommend it at all. I don’t know if I’ll ever use Viator again.
Hello, although I cannot recall your name or when you booked the tour, thank you for choosing me. I am sorry for your disappointment. Honestly, I was surprised, as this is the very first negative review I have received for this private tour after doing it for years. I am not entirely sure what you had envisioned, what your expectations were when booking, or where specifically you felt you didn't get your money's worth. This is a private tour, conducted in a spacious, E-Segment level vehicle that is well-suited for Cotswolds conditions. Even though my guests books a 4-hour tour, I gladly spend anywhere between 4 to 6 hours with all my guests, depending on their requests and time management. I never rush anyone and offer as much flexibility as possible so my guests can truly enjoy their day trip. While I am unsure of your expectations for a half-day tour, and despite this not being a historic guided tour, I still share almost all the necessary historical and geographical insights I’ve gained over years of experience. I only share just enough information to avoid boring my guests with unnecessarily lengthy historical details. On top of all this, you get to explore the most beautiful villages of the Cotswolds for 4–5 hours and spend time wherever you wish. If you were to hire an Uber, the amount they would charge for 5 hours would likely be much higher than what you paid for this tour. I would love to meet everyone's individual expectations, but unfortunately, I am only obligated to provide the service outlined in my service description, and I am confident that I delivered that exact service to you. Even so, thank you for taking the time to write this review, for booking my tour, and for spending a full day exploring the Cotswolds with me!
Caglar was a terrific guide and was flexible to make a change in his itinerary to meet our needs. Thank you!!
Our guide Caglar was amazing and drove to some lovely gems in the Cotswolds! It was beyond all our expectations and it was nice to get out in each town and explore the sights and walk the charming streets and paths!
Coglar planned the perfect 1/2 day tour for our group! Having the small group allowed us to go to smaller towns and get the real feel of the Cotswolds without feeling rushed. He’s a safe driver on challenging roads as well. Special thanks to Coglar who drove 45 mins out of his way to return our missing cell phone. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! It was an absolute pleasure hosting you and your group through the Cotswolds. Also, I was more than happy to drive back and return the phone—I know how stressful it can be to lose something so important while traveling, and I'm just glad it made it back to you safely. Thank you again for recommending me, and I hope to welcome you all back to the Cotswolds in the future! Warm regards, Caglar
Caglar is amazing. He responded promptly as soon as we booked the tour, had excellent communication before and during our journey. He customised what we aimed in the trip, is knowledgeable about the history of the Cotswolds area, provided excellent service and went a step further providing advice on taking photos as a pro. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a chill and enjoyable day trip in Cotswolds!
