Itinerary
Not quite Flourish and Blotts but as close as a muggle bookshop can be. Blackwells is the dream of every Ravenclaw, holding approximately holding 250,000 volumes, which translates to 3 miles of books! This is even more impressive knowing that their first store measured only 12 feet square, and held just 700 used books. Don't forget to have a look at the roof of the building from a distance. Don't worry the stone figure you'll see on top isn't someone petrified. It is a statue by Antony Gormley; one of a series of sculptures called “Another Time II”.
One of the largest libraries, with multiple buildings spread across Oxford. Home to archaic medieval books on spells and wizards! Viewed from several locations externally - see Divinity for our entrance to Bodleian.
Despite the name, it is one of the oldest Colleges at Oxford, built-in 1379. With its medieval cloisters and beautiful spaces it is easy to see why they decided to film multiple scenes for Harry Potter here!
Paid Entrance To Part of The Bodleian: This most dramatic site is not only one of the oldest parts of the Bodleian Library University, but it was also used in various scenes when filming of Harry Potter was taking place in Oxford. The Bodleian is a complex of different buildings, this is the section we enter. Instantly recognisable as a Harry Potter site, with one of the best examples of medieval architecture in England.

Amazing tour. Jenny (maybe have been Jenni - sorry if I got that wrong). Was amazing, a second year at Christchurch studying history gave some wonderful stories about the colleges and the university whilst showing all the Harry Potter stories as well. The New college was amazing. A great tour. Thanks.
Stefanie was an amazing tour guide! She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire Harry Potter walking tour both entertaining and engaging. I really enjoyed the tour and appreciated the mix of Harry Potter facts, Oxford history, and interesting stories along the way. Her enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oxford. Thank you, Stefanie, for a wonderful experience! I’ll bring greetings to Austria 🇦🇹 for you 😇
We took the tour as a family with our 12 year old son. Our guide Ginny Weasley 😉 made it very entertaining with fascinating tidbits and charming anecdotes about Harry Potter, Oxford and life as an Oxford student. Good fun and highly recommended! 🌞
We had so much fun on this tour. The guide is named Henry, and he made the tour a fun learning-experience
Our tour with Adeline was wonderful. She was delightful, engaging and enthusiastic. She shared lots of interesting information both about the buildings we saw and their connections with the Harry Potter movies. Definitely recommend.
Very family Friendly! Our guide, an anthropologist, had very good knowledge of both History of Oxford and Harry Potter films.Totally recommend it!
Out tour guide was amazing(Adelene). She was so enthusiastic about the topic and was super open to questions and very nice. She definitely made our tour worth every minute. One comment to the company, u should make it clear that we cannot access the university library as everyone was expecting to enter it as mentioned in the tour description. Other than that all well.
Such a fun experience! The Harry Potter walking tour of Oxford was a great way to explore the city while seeing some of the locations connected to the films. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and made the tour really enjoyable, with lots of interesting stories and Harry Potter facts along the way. New College was definitely a highlight and it was amazing to see the beautiful surroundings in person. Would definitely recommend this tour to any Harry Potter fan visiting Oxford! ⚡️🏰
The tour was very interesting and entertaining! Our super motivated guide Alessia had a lot to say about the Harry Potter locations she visited and enriched her remarks with some fun facts. The tour includes admission to Divinity School and New College. Attention: The Divinity School has several closing days, on which admission is not possible. However, you will be informed of this by an e-mail from Footprints at the time of booking and can cancel up to 24 hours in advance if necessary. Very fair! We would book the tour again!
