Clarkson's Farm Small Group Tour from The Cotswolds

The bus driver that took us around made the trip. Other than his commentary the various visits were average at best. Didly squat farm shop was so busy with enormous queues we didn’t bother going inside (There wouldn’t have been time anyway) Next stop was The Farmers Dog, again good to see but was exceptionally busy. We were there an hour where we managed a quick drink and an equally quick shop. Finally we went to The Hawkstone Brewery. It was very poor and disappointing. Every one raves about the tour which is impossible to book but to just visit the tin shack and the awful Hawkstone Arms is not worth the effort. Don’t get me wrong the overall tour due to the aforementioned guide was okay and to identify the places that featured in the series was good but the venues themselves could be better. ( I apologise I could not recall our drivers name but we went on Friday 25th at 2.00pm)

Brilliant tour our driver and guide Peter was excellent . Wish we had longer at Dudley Squat but the queue was too long to get into the shop.There is a shop at the pub though

Elaine our guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable, friendly and informative. She made the trip very good and told us lots about the beautiful area too.

Absolutely brilliant tour for any Clarkson's farm fan. Visited Diddly Squat for around half an hour, the queues were too long to go in the farm shop but our driver Jason pre warned us and actually, the shop at the pub is far bigger and better. The Farmers Dog was great and a longer stop. We had a drink in the bar and wandered around the grounds and the Grand Tour tent before travelling to the brewery. Jason’s knowledge of the Cotswolds was great and made the journey between venues very enjoyable. Would highly recommend

This whistle stop tour round Clarksons Farm etc was brilliant. The mini bus was excellent, very comfy, air conditioned and superbly driven around the Cotswolds. Our driver,Helen (I think,apologies if not) was so very knowledgeable and made everything fun and very enjoyable . We will definitely go back to the Farmers Dog indecently so we can spend more time there. The Cotswolds are beautiful.

This tour was bought as a Christmas gift via Virgin Experience Days. I did have to query the pick-up point with VE and Brit Movie Tours. BMT were very quick to respond and confirmed that it would be from Moreton-in-Marsh station, located at Station Road, Moreton-in-Marsh, England GL56 0AA. This was not a problem at all, and in fact it gave us time to wander the High Street before our 2pm pick-up. The Tour guide, Peter, was exceptional. Very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and of Clarkson's Farm. The information he provided added more depth to our experience when we visited the farm itself, followed by The Farmer's Dog, and finally the brewery. We were lucky with the weather. However, be mindful that queuing for the farm shop can be 2 hours, which it was on the date we picked 28/8. Obviously, we couldn't wait that long due to the time constraints of the tour, so we mainly browsed, before heading off for a pint at the Farm's Dog. Here you could purchase most of the items you could buy at the farm, including, souvenirs, pub food and a pint. We would definitely recommend the tour; just be aware that you may only get half hour or so at the farm before having to move on to the pub and the brewery where more time was allocated for you to enjoy the rest of the tour.

We had a great time on this tour. We were picked up in a minibus from Moreton-in-Marsh train station and driven around the Cotswolds, with plenty of landmarks pointed out along the way and lots of interesting local knowledge shared. The first stop was the Diddly Squat Farm Shop. The queue to get inside was unfortunately far too long, but we were still able to visit the food stalls and bar behind the shop. After that, we headed to The Farmer’s Dog pub. It was very busy as well, but we still had time for a drink and a look around the Grand Tour tent, which stocked all the merchandise you’d find in the farm shop. Our final stop was the brewery, where you can enjoy another drink and browse a small shop. In total, the tour lasted around four hours and was a great way to explore the local area and visit the key stops in Clarkson’s growing “empire.” The only criticism is that we expected the tour to include the farm itself, but it’s actually focused on the surrounding area and the various tourist spots. Even so, we had a brilliant time, and our guide Elaine was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and full of local insight. We’d definitely recommend this tour.
