Great Guide - Great Food - Great City

Ben is extremely personable, knowledgeable and overall fun to have spent a better of two hours with. The spots on the tour were enjoyable - being from Brooklyn, it was nice to get a NYC slice in San Diego - it did not disappoint. The tacos, juice and vegan ice cream were tasty as well. Despite the nice food choices, the tour itself was the highlight - learning about San Diego’s history, evolution and modern street art made the tour truly unique. I would love to check out Ben’s coffee and escape theme bar experiences. If you’re in San Diego - I would highly recommend joining Ben on this experience!

Great time with a knowledgeable, friendly guide!

We're one vegetarian and one omnivore, but we both enjoy plant-based food. This was a fun way to explore the neighborhood, learn a little about local history, and try food we wouldn't have discovered on our own! Definitely recommend.

Fun, Filling and Unforgettable!

Ben was an incredible tour guide—his knowledge of the history of San Diego truly made the experience stand out. I left with a tummy full of delicious, flavorful food, a head full of fascinating historical facts, and a big smile thanks to the awesome, laid-back vibes of our group and the amazing restaurants we visited. I’ll absolutely be going back to every spot we dined at. 10/10 — highly recommend this tour not just for tourists, but for locals too. I’m from San Diego, and it was completely worth my time and appetite!

Vegan food and history

Ben gave us great history of downtown San Diego interspersed with vegan juices, pizza, tacos, and ice cream. Very knowledgeable. Very friendly and conscientious (very warm day so he stopped us in the shade). Highly recommend!

A Vegan Food Tour You Don't Want To Miss!

This was our first experience in San Diego, and Ben made it great! Right off the bat he was hilarious. The random little facts he knew about the downtown area and its history was neat. He knew so much about the art, history, food, and vegetarian/vegan history. We had fresh juice, pizza, tacos, chips & guac, jaritos, and ice cream. We were stuffed by the end. The tofu potato mushroom tacos at Pokez were so delicious. It wasn't expected, but hanging out with Ben felt like hanging out with an old friend. Highly recommend this tour and his others!

Delicious for all eaters

Had a fabulous time on the vegan food tour. I’m an SD local and my vegetarian friend was visiting from out of town. Was great for both of us! The food was AMAZING, so great to learn new places to go in a really cool neighborhood. Was stuffed and had delicious leftovers. Planning to take my vegan friend next time she visits! Ben was great.

Great Food and a Fun Evening in North Park

We had a great time and ate amazing food on our walking vegan food tour of North Park. Ben, our tour guide and the owner of the company, was exceptional. He is warm, friendly, has an encyclopedic knowledge of local history, art, and food culture, and clearly has great relationships with the restauranteurs on his tour route. We received personal attention at each stop, including one of the restaurant owners joining us to present their food, eat with us, and tell us the background on the dishes and his family’s restaurant. And the food… delicious and plentiful at each stop, even for two non-– vegans like us! It opened our eyes to how good vegan food can be. I’d give our tour an extra star if I could.

Explore delicious vegan food in San Diego: Omnivores everywhere

I pick my tours thru Marriott Bonvoy because I trust their partnerships. This tour with Ben was exceptional. The second restaurant we went to Rancho Cocinas, the owner Edmundo Mouet spent time with us, talking about the dishes and recipes. Ben also was a good conversationalist, super polite and the restaurant partners clearly enjoyed him bringing guests to their establishments. We learned about bean Diego’s neighborhoods and saw several murals created by local artist. Enjoyable and well worth the money.

Art, history, humor, comedy and food

The food was great, the area was cool but by far Ben made the tour what it is. So amazing, what a great guy with tons of knowledge on art, history of the area and veganism in general, also has some dope dad jokes as well. He even surprised us with a birthday candle for my wife's birthday. Ben is the man!

It is a very manageable walking pace and Ben does a great job sharing wonderful historic anecdotes about the city. You will definitely not be hungry afterwards; there is so much food! Thank you Ben for this unique experience!
