Thank you for joining us and for the 5* review!
Magda was friendly, knowledgeable and the food was great! The restaurants chosen were family owned and delicious.
We are so happy to hear you enjoyed the time with Magda and appreciated visiting local restaurants on the tour! We hope you'll join us again in the future!
I'm really glad that the genuine hospitality at Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter followed me from arrival through breakfast and beyond. Pair that with a prime Gaslamp location for experiencing San Diego, and you’ve got the makings of an excellent city escape.
I think this review was posted to the wrong business! We are a local food and drink tour company and not affiliated with the Margaritaville Hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter.
Magda was excellent. Very personable and engaging. The food and drinks were terrific- and great quantity. The local restaurants we went to all had great service.
Thank you for joining us and for the excellent review! We are a locally owned company and only support local restaurants on our tours so we are happy to hear you appreciated that!
The guide was very nice and had some good basic info. She maybe was new though? Other food tours I've been on did more to establish connection and conversation among the guests on the tour. We left wanting more history and insight about why the restaurants were chosen (none of the servers at the restaurants engaged *at all* with the tour group or explained the food or restaurant), how the specific neighborhood evolved over time relative to San Diego history and just a bit more actual local knowledge.
Thank you for the feedback. We appreciate your honesty, and can't understand how our guide could miss this information. We have an extensive script for both the history and the restaurants and the families that own them. I'm sorry we felt short on this. We will address this issue thanks to your review.
Magda is a San Diego original. Nice tour. Food was great. The Werewolf sliders were excellent. Very informative.
We're so happy you had such a great time with Magda! Thank you for sharing about your experience on here...it means a lot to our small, locally-owned business.
OUr tour guide was Magda who was very knowledgeable and alot of fun. We met outside the Hard Rock, unfortunately this evening was also a big concert so some of the group was running late, but Magda handled it well. As we walked to each eatery, she was telling up the history of the area, which was fascinating. She picked different types of food, mediterranean, Irish, American, Ice Cream all of which were fantastic. In between stops, she provided alot of history and answered our questions. It was a decent size group, but she was able to address everyone. Would highly recommend this tour and ask for Magda.
We are very fortunate to have Magda on our team! She is a great leader, loves the history, and is a total foodie! Thank you for joining us!! Gaslamp can get wild on Saturday nights, but luckily our guides have the ability to stay calm and collected during chaotic times!
So much fun! B was a fun tour guide and the food and drinks were amazing! It was a great way to see the entire area.
We're so happy you had a positive experience in the Gaslamp with B! Thank you for joining us!
