It was very difficult to find the desk to sign in for the cruise. But after that, boarding the boat was smooth ( and I had a walker)! The ride was very choppy, the seas were rough. Several, including my hubby got seasick. But the staff was well prepared for all situations encountered. They were both kind and compassionate as well as professional. Unfortunately we didn’t see any whales, porpoises 🐬 or dolphins ☹️. Although the captain and staff kept looking for them. But to their credit, since they couldn’t find the aquatic life we came to see, they offered all of us a coupon to take the same excursion again free of charge in the future with no expiration date‼️I would have preferred a refund since I don’t know if I’ll ever be back in San Diego. I haven’t seen my coupon yet, but I’m sure I will, or perhaps I just don’t know where to look for it on my phone🤷🏻♀️.All in all, it is a well organized excursion with staff trying to orchestrate what was out of their control… choppy seas and no sightings. You also don’t have to get wet👏🏽👏🏽‼️I would definitely recommend this trip‼️
The crew was very attentive and professional! We loved the boat ride almost as much as seeing a pod of approx 500 dolphins—so cool! Loved it and would def recommend.
Crew was fabulous and the Perrigrine was clean and spacious. Kennedy was knowledgeable and very interactive. Captain John tried to find whales but we were unfortunately unsuccessful. We saw a super pod of dolphins which was pretty cool. However, with the distance we traveled our two young children got a little bored. My husband got a drink and 2 small cheezit snacks for our kids and it cost $20. Overall, good experience but disappointed we didn't see any whales.
Super fun. No whales but got to see a HUGE pod of dolphins! Naturalist said probably close to a thousand. The dolphins put on quite a show surfing the wake.
Captain took extra time to try to ensure we saw a whale and got our money's worth and that expectations were met. Crew was friendly and knowledgeable
Enjoyed this experience a lot especially seeing the dolphins would recommend this experience to everyone
They need to advertise to come at least 45 minutes to park your vehicle. Parking lot was full so we drove around to several spots but was not allowed to park. I reached out to the operator and there was no response. I requested a refund and of course he then reached out and said no.
Saw some 4/5 whales which was amazing. No dolphins though.
The boarding process was easy, the ship was lovely, the naturalist was very informative, everything was great except we didn't see a single darn whale during the entire four hours. We were a group of fourteen, six of whom were children, and all were disappointed, but like we all said, not the tour operator's fault, of course, and they very graciously gave us vouchers for a free return trip so we can try again sometime -- if we ever get back to San Diego.
The staff was very friendly, and we did see whales and dolphins. I do wish we could have gotten closer to the whales, but very grateful to have seen them. I would recommend this company based on my experience.
