On this tour, guests will get a local expert to guide them around the Little Italy neighborhood giving insight to local restaurants, shops and vendors they might not otherwise discover as well as the unique history of this area. Guests will get the opportunity to meet new people while they taste food samples at four different locations, two of which include wine or beer samples and one includes dessert.

San Diego’s Italian quarter has grown in popularity for not just Italian fare, but also for the rich array of local restaurant hot-spots that have opened up in the last 10 years, or so. In addition to the traditional pasta and pizza dishes, Little Italy offers up top chef cuisine, vegan breakfasts, juicy burgers, and lounges for dancing and fine cocktails! The possibilities to whet your palate are endless. This tour will have you savoring iconic bites while you get an understanding about the history and current vibe of the neighborhood with one of our professional and personable guides.
Guests will meet at the heart of Little Italy near the iconic fountain. Learn about the importance of Piazzas in Italian culture, and enjoy bay views and people watching as you hear historic narration.
The Little Italy sign marks the welcome of Little Italy for people driving on India Street. The sign represents the history and culture of the neighborhood with mosaic art.
The Italian church was built specifically for the Italian community of San Diego. Learn about the history, construction and artisanal efforts of the church. This is the heartbeat of the neighborhood.

Wonderful experience with our guide, Bleu, who was very knowledgeable about the history and made sure we had everything we needed or wanted while trying the food and visiting the spots. Finished very full since so many delicious tastes are offered, you can definitely use this as a meal substitute. The time was constantly filled and didn't have to wait anywhere.

We have been on many Walking Food Tours around the world, and this one ranks right at the top. Our tour guide, Magda, was a sweetheart and took great care of our every need, while imparting some really great history of this area of San Diego. As a San Diegan, I have eaten in Little Italy many times, but this tour gave me a look at some really great options. The various stops, the quality, and quantity of the food were top-notch. My wife and I were amazed at the amount of food and drink we received, topped off with a scrumptious gelato. We highly recommend this tour and meeting Magda.
