Discover how rum and chocolate can transform each other in this guided pairing experience at Casa Barú in the heart of Casco Viejo. Taste four Casa Barú rums alongside selected Kamm chocolates made from fine-aroma cacao and designed around distinctive fruit, spice and other delicious profiles. Your host will guide you through each pairing, exploring aroma, sweetness, bitterness, fruit, spice, texture and finish—and showing how the perception of both rum and chocolate changes when they are tasted together. Along the way, you will learn about Casa Barú’s approach to rum production and blending, as well as some of the principles behind successful flavor pairing. Relaxed, approachable and designed for curious drinkers rather than experts, this 50-minute experience offers a different way to discover Panamanian rum. The session closes with a specially selected Casa Barú cocktail, giving guests one final expression of how the rum can be enjoyed beyond the tasting flight.
