The Vatican Museums are the public museums of Vatican City. They display works from the immense collection amassed by the Catholic Church and the papacy throughout the centuries, including several of the most well-known Roman sculptures and most important masterpieces of Renaissance art in the world. The museums contain roughly 70,000 works, of which 20,000 are on display and currently employ 640 people who work in 40 different administrative, scholarly, and restoration departments.
The Sistine Chapel is a chapel in the Apostolic Palace, the pope's official residence in Vatican City. Originally known as the Cappella Magna the chapel takes its name from Pope Sixtus IV, who had it built between 1473 and 1481. Since that time, the chapel has served as a place of both religious and functionary papal activity. Today, it is the site of the papal conclave, the process by which a new pope is selected. The fame of the Sistine Chapel lies mainly in the frescoes that decorate the interior, most particularly the Sistine Chapel ceiling and The Last Judgment, both by Michelangelo.

Was given a voucher and it was stated that we would get an email with the tickets . We hadn’t been sent the email. Write to operator informing them of it. We were at the Museum entrance and were told we needed to Che k email for tickets. No email was sent. Finally another company who offers tours helped us by contacting the company directly. They told me they emailed us the tickets the day before. I was to look at my emails which I did. My sister and her husband also had booked the same skip the line excursion/ trip. They too did not get an email. Finally the company said look on what’s app. I did have an account and it was there but we were unable to download the tickets. This other company helped work with this company to resend the tickets to tjeem and they did and we got the tickets. We raced back to get in as we were told we had a 45 min grace period before the tickets would be voided. We made it by 8 minutes!! Again this shouldn’t been a great experience but with all of our running around and not getting an email as we were told they had sent it was a stressful excursion for us. We want to have this looked into further and again feel that this was quite short of anyone’s expectations who have only one time to see the Vatican ! Disappointing again.
The online tickets were delivered via email as per mentioned on the voucher, AHEAD OF TIME.
Everything perfect and short line. Wonderful museum, unforgettable. The tickets arrived on time and we were able to print them, although we entered with the PDF on the mobile phone.
You have to wait for Viator to send you the tickets and not be worried. They arrive on WhatsApp with little advance notice.
It is a nice overview of the former Jewish ghetto and renaissance-era Jewish life. Not a lot of the former buildings remain, so it is a lot of pictures of previous buildings and explaining where they would fit in current landscape. The guide was well informed and pleasant.
You don’t actually “skip” the line. You just get in the line with people who also already have tickets. But it still saves a lot of time.
Skip the line is definitely worth it. You need to be there only before your time as they call you in lots and check your timing. You could go only 30mins prior e.g. 1pm for 1.30pm. Peak summer and 36° was so hot, crowded... we ended up walking through galleries without too much engagement and lingered longer at the distine chapel. All in all, a very large collection of objects and the frescoes were amazing.
Not easy to get your tickets, they are not sent to you via email or similar. You have to find their office to get the tickets. This is inconvenient and time wasting. Other than that it's good.
I bought three tickets skip the line Vatican museum. I received an email from the company confirming full payment and other information. I arrived at the Vatican skip the line entrance an hour earlier . There are three entrances. I approached one of the entrances and showed the guard the email I received from Viator . He asked me to call the company and request the electronic tickets. I called the company many times without any success. Then I had no other choice but to buy three other tickets from a nearby travel agent . Whoever is managing the company is doing a lousy job. I send an email using Viator website demanding a full refund.
You arrived at the venue on the wrong date, which is why the entry was denied.
This was not a real “skip the line” experience. I am still not sure why we paid extra for this. We were actually in the longest of the three lines and waited over 30 min in the hot sun. This is totally overpriced, I would suggest just going online and buying a ticket directly from the Vatican site.
The line was infact skipped, you can look it up on google to see how skip the line actually works.
