During the Simple Roots farm tour, your guide will drive you through our 26 acre farm on the slopes of Haleakala. The tour will begin at our AG building where the tour guide will provide a brief welcome and intro to the farm before the tour begins. At this point of the tour you will see our milking area where our cows are milked daily as well as meet our chicks in the brooder area.
The walking tour will then begin with a walk around the pasture to see our pasture-raised laying hens. Guests will learn how our farm utilizes rotational grazing practices to improve the soil and life our our animals.
Walk through the pasture and meet the Simple Roots dairy cows, learn how they are milked as well as how they are an integral part in restoring the land.
Your guide will then walk you through the orchards where you may see mangos, dragon fruit and jack fruit before arriving to see our broiler chickens. Learn the style of mobile chicken shelters we use to move move them daily to provide the animals with grass and bugs to scratch and provide natural fertilizer to the land all while keeping them safe from predators
End back at the gazebo and enjoy refreshments from our orchard and stop at our farm store while learning how you can make an impact for a brighter future for our food and community.

The meeting point is Upon arrival, drive down the gravel driveway lined with citrus trees and make a left at the roundabout with the Monkey pod tree. You will see our Ag building on the left hand side. You can park on the back side of the building where your tour guide will meet you. Hotel pickup is not part of this experience.

This tour was awesome! It makes you appreciate where your food comes from and the hard work that farmers put in to get food on our tables. Going to the store is one thing but seeing the process is another thing entirely! The owners are knowledgeable and you can see the care they take with the land, the animals and the final products. This is a great place to hang out with your family and especially for kids!
As a chef who sources from Simple Roots regularly, getting to actually walk the pastures where our chicken and eggs come from was special!! The Simple Roots team is passionate, hard working and always excited to share their farm. Beautiful property, great farm store at the end. We loved the up close experience with all the animals. I think this would be great for kids, true farm experience. The views are remarkable, and the animals are so cute! Absolutely amazing farm experience, what Simple Roots is doing on that property is incredible. Seeing the photos from before they took over is like day and night. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. My favorite part of the tour would have been seeing the cows, they are so cute!! They have a cute farm store with some really cool local products, 10/10 recommended checking it out!!

We were so excited to discover Simple Roots Farm when visiting Maui. We bought granola and eggs at their farm stand and then realized that they also did farm tours! We got to meet the animals, including the adorable milk cows and learn about farm operations. It was very interesting to learn about regenerative farming and all that entails. We did the tour with our two young daughters and they had a blast as well. I highly recommend the farm tour for a fun, engaging family activity for all! The Simple Roots Farm Tour is such a unique way to spend time on Maui. You really get to see the fundamentals of a working regenerative farm. The staff is willing to share so much about the process. The place is gorgeous and the farm store has tons of goodies. We learned so much in a short time and left very inspired!
What a wonderful experience being able to witnessing how the food we eat is being raise, and with the love and care of beautiful people! We ended up doing the farm tour (it was only us at the time which was really special) and it was so neat to be able to walk through the pastures and see the stages of life that the animals go through. We were able to see the hard work the farmers do on the daily, how they transform the farm from what it was, gained knowledge of the process and work practices, all questions answered, quality connection made and delicious food to be eaten It’s one thing to go to the store and purchase chicken that you have no idea where it came from, but to go to the source just hits different! We visited Simple Roots for a farm tour back in February and it was amazing! We had lots of kids with us and they also had a blast seeing all of the animals and walking around the beautiful property. We have a small homestead and I was asking tons of questions which they answered happily. Korey and Alissa are so passionate about what they do and it really shines through in the tours. After the tour, you can head down to the vodka farm for a drink and bite to eat, too! Definitely a perfect activity for locals and visitors alike.
We had such a great time touring Simple Roots Farm. We've been buying their pasture-raised chickens since they were raising them in our neighborhood, so it was really special to see how they've grown into this beautiful larger farm. My favorite part was learning how each animal plays a role in the regenerative farming system. It was fascinating to see how they use the strengths of the chickens, cows, and lambs to build healthy soil and create a more sustainable farm. The property itself is gorgeous, with beautiful views, a friendly team, and a well-stocked farm store. Anna was an excellent guide, and it was wonderful getting to meet Kassidy and Erin as well. The tour was an easy walk and left us with an even greater appreciation for knowing our farmers and where our food comes from.
