Ramen and Gyoza Cooking Class in Tokyo

Description
What's unique about this experience is that by learning the differences between the various ramen (noodles, broth, etc.) across Japan, you can also use it as a ramen guide when traveling around Japan. Japanese people are particular about everything and turn it into a unique Japanese food culture. While making ramen and gyoza together, you can learn about the diversity of the culture. This time, we will make miso ramen with broth made from "kelp" and "chicken" or "scallops," which are the basic ingredients of Japanese broth. For vegans, we will make miso ramen with broth made from "kelp" and "vegetables." In addition, the Japanese-style house will allow various travel groups, from groups of adults to families with children, to enjoy themselves in a relaxed atmosphere.

We had an amazing experience! The food was delicious and the hosts were so lovely. It was an amazing way to enjoy Japanese food (and learn more about it through a brief lesson) and drink some delicious sake. Visiting Tokyo can be overwhelming, but this experience helped to relax us during our trip.
I'm so glad you enjoyed your experience at Kujo Tokyo. Please do try making ramen and gyoza when you get home! However, when you send me photos, please only send the best one, as I asked you to at the end of the experience. I'd be overwhelmed if you sent me a hundred!
So enjoyed this experience. The guides were amazing and explained everything so clearly and were so happy we now know how to make proper gyoza and ramen when we get home! We’d booked to do the class a few days earlier but my daughter couldn’t attend as she was unwell, luckily our teachers suggested that we both come back a few days later so she could take part and I’m so grateful they did. Thank you so much 😊
I'm so glad your daughter is feeling better and was able to join us. And she even got some lovely nail art done. Please be sure to send us a photo if you try making it at home. I'd also love to hear what the family members who couldn't make it this time thought...
Learned &Loved everything about this cooking class. Very interesting on how to prepare the different food dishes
Thank you for your wonderful comments and high rating. I'm glad it became a good memory of your trip to Japan. Please try making it at home too. However, please send only the best photo. Even though I receive many photos, I can't throw them away, and my computer's storage is getting full of everyone's pictures.
The teachers were great! We did 3 different types of gyoza and made miso ramen. The history lesson in the beginning was also very educational.
Some people occasionally say the lessons are too long, but I'm glad if you enjoyed them. Please try making them at home!
Excellent experience and food quality from knowledgeable local people. To be recommended to learn and enjoy
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments and rating. Since it hasn't been long since the experience, I hope you won't look back once you get home and feel you praised it too highly. I really hope you try making it at home, too.
My family loved this experience. We learned a lot and the food was delicious. We had a vegetarian and a shellfish allergy in the group and they accommodated both very very well.
There are an increasing number of families that include both vegetarians and people with shellfish allergies. As I mentioned in the pre-experience workshop, although there are few vegetarians in Japan because people grow up drinking soup made with bonito flakes from infancy, it hasn’t even been 200 years since they started eating meat. When you think about it that way, it’s just like your family. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
The location was easy to find and the hosts were very friendly with good English. The introduction was informative, cooking with PowerPoint was innovative. We started off making gyoza which were delicious. The chef took the lead in making the ramen but as there was a lot of pre-preparation that was ok as the food was great. Overall it was a great experience, finished off with same sake.
Thank you for the highly positive review and for providing such a detailed and thoughtful explanation. It sounds like such a wonderful experience—it makes me want to try it myself! Please do try making them yourself once you get home. And if you discover any new, delicious fillings for gyoza, be sure to let me know.
Not only was this an excellent cooking class but a fabulous history lesson! My adult daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this class!
Thank you for the high rating and kind comments. I’m so glad you chose my listing from among so many others. I’d be thrilled if this became one of the happy memories of your trip to Japan.
Very nice experience with nice teacher and practice. The location is very nice and easy to arrive with the local metro and the welcome is nice. The food we prepared was also delicious so it is very recommended
Thank you for your kind comment. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Going forward, I’d like to expand the range of activities here so that visitors can enjoy everyday experiences like strolling around the area, taking photos, playing games, and hosting birthday parties. Please be sure to visit again the next time you travel to Japan.
This was such a fun and informative class! The goyzas and ramen were delicious!! It was so much fun not only making the dishes, but also learning the history of how they came to be. And the recipes were emailed to us, so that we can go home and make the dishes ourselves!! Highly recommend this adventure!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay. I hope this trip to Japan will be a cherished memory for you. As I mentioned in the mini-workshop, the Japanese love of innovation is what has led to the creation of such delicious ramen. I encourage you to try your hand at making your own unique gyoza and ramen.
